Schultz held his breath as a nozzle spray him in the face, "AUDIO TRANSMITTERS RENGAGED. MODIFIED FORMULA ADMINISTERD PREPARING TO REVIEW DATA ON FLAGGED CONDITION CATEGORIES. SUBJECT SCHULTZ DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANY FURTHER UNPROVOKED AGGRESSION. YOUR ACTIONS THREATEN THE INTEGRITY OF THIIS ENTITY'S RESEARCH."
Finding the spray continuing far beyond his ability to hold his breath, Schultz gasped for air before choling out, "You're attacking me! What have you done with the others?"
The Sample become eerily still and silent for a moment. Schultz struggled to stay alert despite feeling his body react to whatever he was just sprayed with.
"PLEASE CLARIFY."
"What?"
"PLEASE CLARIFY WHY SUBJECT SCHULTZ DESCRIBES THIS UNIT'S ACTIONS AS AN ATTACK."
Schultz wasn't sure if he was having trouble responding because of the effects of the gas or was just dumbstruck, "Because...you grabbed me and sprayed me with...whatever that was."
"SUBJECT SCHULTZ SEEMS TO HAVE A FLAWED UNDERSTANDING OF ATTACK. IN TERRAN LANGUAGE ATTACKS ARE AGGRESSIVE ACTS DONE FOR THE PURPOSE OF CAUSING PHYSICAL HARM. THIS UNIT HAS NOT ATTEMPTED TO PHYICALLY HARM SUBJECT SCHULTZ."
Schultz was trying to follow this thing's words but was a bit distracted as the arms began easily sliding off the previously properly molded armor with ease, "But you...just started doing things to me without my permission."
"THIS UNIT HAS RECORDED NO INSTANCES OF TERRANS REQUESTING 'PERMISSION' FROM TEST SUBJECTS. INCLUDING THE REMOVAL OF THIS UNIT FROM PLANET."
"But we didn't know you were...whatever you are," did his voice sound weird.
"BECAUSE OF LACK OF UNDERSTANDING TERRANS BEGAN EXPERIMENTATION ON THIS UNIT. BECAUSE OFLACK OF UNDERSTANDING THIS UNIT BEGAN EXPIRIMENTATION ON TERRANS."
"But you know we're intelligent!"
"RELATIVE TO THIS UNIT'S DATA CAPACITY TERRANS ARE OF LIMITED INTELLIGENCE. YET THIS UNIT SEEMS TO NOT UNDERSTAND ELEMENT OF TERRAN PSYCHOLOGY EXPRESSED BY SUBJECT SCHULTZ. REQUIRES FURTHER EVALUATION. THIS UNIT THANKS YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION."
Seemingly done with him, Schultz found himself shoved down the hallway. Almost back to crew quarters, the arm suddenly dropped him in front of Child Accommodations, knocked on the door, and vanished from sight as the door slid open.
Finding himself looking up at a far too large Nanny Bot, Schultz only had a moment to react when it greeted him with a oddly pitched teasing tone, "Well I'm beginning to wonder if any of the ship's children are where they're supposed to be. Let me get you sorted out."
