As much as Jeff wanted to just get in there and start pumping iron, he probably should change out of his coveralls. Not only did the gym probably wouldn't appreciate it, but also, this suit was quite tight and hard to move around in. It was time for Jeff to head to the locker room.
It was quite nice for the gym owners to give him a locker in the staff section. Sure, he was studying to be a personal trainer, but that was just a recent development. Those owners must have really liked him. Anyway, the janitor removed his coveralls, revealing he was wearing workout clothes underneath. It was then Jeff was impressed with his new body once again. He was not only big but also ripped. Just look at the definitions on his arms! And there was this small smattering of chest hair on his pecs. Damn, he really lucked out with getting to be such a hottie in this reality.
Jeff went to the mirror and flexed his pecs, ecstatic with how big and strong they looked. He would have flexed even more, but he was interrupted by a voice.
"Ah, there you are, Jeff," The janitor turned around to see another muscular man. Oh, his memories of this pocket reality told him that this was Lucas, one of the personal trainers here.
"Yo, Lucas, what do you need?" Jeff asked.
"Just dropped by to say that your certification test date has been set. Make sure you study hard. Oh, and if you have some friends, you can bring them in for some personal training practice." Jeff looked at the date marked on the calendar. Just a few weeks away, huh? That wasn't a lot of time which made Jeff nervous. However, based on his new memories, he was confident that he could pass that test.
"Thanks, Lucas. I won't let you down. I look forward to the day I can be one of you guys. But for now, my muscles are itching for a workout. You want to join me?"
"Heh, sure thing, man," The two of them proceeded to hit the weight room. Jeff was a bit intimidated to do this since he was relying on his new memories to know what to do, but once he got into the rhythm of lifting, he loved it. The burn, the feeling of strength, everything about it. Maybe he should get into lifting when he gets back to his normal reality.
"Come on, Jeff! One more! Give it all you got." Lucas chanted. At this point, Jeff was exhausted, but this was the last rep so he pushed through the pain and completed it before he dropped the weights which made an audible thud as they hit the floor. Man, that felt good.
"Phew, that was a good set. Thanks for joining me." Lucas thanked Jeff back, and the two went their separate ways. At this point, Jeff thought it was a good time to head back to his regular reality. So, through the janitor's door, he went, and he found himself back to his 16-year-old body and room.
Man, he already missed his mature and muscular body, but it was nice to be home again. Huh, it did seem that much time had passed while he was in the pocket reality too. Nice, that means he could come and go as he pleased without needing to worry about missing out on anything.
Hmmm, Jeff glanced at the mirror, and at first, he was feeling a bit disappointed about his skinny body. However, he noticed something. Did he look a bit bigger? No, on a second glance, that wasn't the case, but then Jeff got an idea. Back to the Chronovic, he went and adjusted one of the parameters of the pocket dimension. "Any exercise someone does in the pocket dimension will carry over when they come back out of it."
Sweet, now he could work out in the pocket dimension and get ripped without worrying about the time. It was then he recalled something that Lucas had said to him. "Oh, and if you have some friends, you can bring them in for some personal training practice."
Yeah, that wasn't a bad idea. Maybe he should bring someone into this dimension too, so they can get ripped alongside him. Question was, who?
