Chad's belly, arms, and legs were thick with a grey furry pelt by the time he reached his locker. He grabbed the paper between his two forepaws. Already his thumbs were migrating up his wrists to become dewclaws. He read, "100% Washington Wolfskin".
"Yeah, Chad, you're gonna be our new mascot over at Washington High. Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Which will it be?"
Chad spun around and glared. It was Mike Roma. He was the quarterback at Washington High across town. He was holding a leash in one hand, and a gun in the other.
Chad bared his teeth, they were all pointy wolf teeth now.
"Rrrom-rah!" Chad barked.
"Guess that means the hard way," Roma said raising the gun.
"Rrrait! Ro! Rut roo roo rawnt?" Chad barked splaying his paw in the motion to stop.
"Wait? Well, if you want to do it the easy way, get down on all fours, and let me put your collar and leash on you, Wolfy," Roma said.
