Mary found herself backing away from her friend's intimidating figure.
"What's got into you?" Jess growled. "You actually think I'm going to do anything? We're best friends!" She started to breathe heavily through her nostrils. Mary's back bumped up against the wall. "Well? Aren't you going to say something? Stop looking at me like that!" Jess was becoming increasingly annoyed at Mary, for reasons she couldn't completely understand. Regardless, she was beginning to regard Mary as an inferior being.
Mary saw the box of vials on the table five feet away and pounced on it. Her feline mind was growing more and more anxious to be rid of Jess, and she thought she could find a way to even the odds so that Jess would no longer seem threatening.
Her slit-pupil eyes set on the Shrink vial, and she hurriedly popped the cork and downed a majority of the liquid.
"Mary, what are you doing?" Jess growled. "Talk to me!"
As she saw her eyes' vantage point rising back up to her original human level, Mary's fear began to subside. "I'm sorry," she stammered. "The cat in me felt terrified. I had to do something to feel at ease."
"And how is being seven feet tall "at ease?" Jess asked.
Mary suddenly realized that she hadn't stopped growing yet. As Jess noted, she was quickly reaching seven feet tall and her shirt was beginning to feel tight. She clutched at it with her claws, trying to pull it off, but it was already too tight against her bulging breasts. Her head bumped against the ceiling, causing her to let out a yell of pain that grew even louder as she felt her shirt pressing in on her body even more. Finally, it ripped apart, granting her relief. She fell to all fours as her growth continued. All the while, Jess stared at her with frightened eyes, wondering if the room would be able to hold her large friend.
Mary's growth finally slowed to a halt. Even when forced to her knees and hands, her back only missed the ceiling by a couple of feet. Jess guessed that she could stand twenty feet tall if she was able.
"I guess I took too much," Mary grinned squeamishly.
