Erica returned to the alchemist. It was difficult to know what to expect when visiting an alchemist. The last time she had visited, the alchemist had had two additional arms and three heads: a byproduct of a recent experiment.
Today, the alchemist looked somewhat more human, but instead of the wizened old man, a girl of about eleven or twelve with four breasts on her chest tended the store. Erica would have thought it was a different person, had the girl she had never seen not recognised her immediately.
“Ah, Erica, was it? How did the shrinking potions work?”
“They worked well, but the condition I required them for has shown itself in a few of my family members. I will need quite a few more,” Erica explained “Also… no, I couldn’t ask it of you.”
“What is it?” the girl asked as she pulled out several bottles of potion solution.
“One of my sisters is having trouble with her identity,” Erica lied “I thought if I could get her some potions to give her a chance to experience being different for awhile. See which one she’d like to stick with.”
“You’d be surprised how many people struggle with similar things,” the alchemist says, as she begins mixing ingredients “The size changing potions I can do twenty four for you for ten gold pieces. As for the selection of transformation potions, I have two options: I have a selection of potions I know what they do, and you can select them from a list. The other choice would be I give you my experimental batch, which will definitely transform you, but have almost guaranteed side effects. I’d be willing to give you the experimental batch for free if you’re willing to write up what the effects are for me. What would you like to buy?”
