You however saw Victoria bid, while changing the number of the price, while also competing against other wealthy people that were in the audience.

That woman the announcer described was Victoria, who cheered in joy, while at the same time rushing over to get on stage, and receive the conch shell she won. You were happy that Victoria won, but at the same time didn't think she would want the shell either.
