Kurt was waiting around at the nearest bar. After texting the former Jennifer... now Dicklover, she had wanted to meet up off of hotel grounds. Kurt got the feeling of not wanting to hang around at work after work, agreed to meet nearby. He had to remind himself to not snicker at the name... of course, he had thought about changing it back but where was the fun in that?
Funny enough, he looked up the name and found a few celebrities now sported this name. Harry Potter costarring "Dicklover Watson" and famous singer "Dicklover Swift" made him giggle the most. "God Kurt, grow up." He muttered to himself. Of course, it was less of the name and more of the power. The power trip was starting to grow, and he desperately wanted to keep going.
However, his main distraction came right through the door.
The gorgeous woman walked walked in, and his heart jumped a little. Her dark, curly hair was now fully out, reaching down to her shoulders. They nestled gently on her exposed shoulders, as she wore a sleeveless white crop top which perfectly emphasized her ebony skin. To top it all off she wore some mom jeans which emphasized her... VERY, large behind.
"Evening stranger." She laughed as she hopped up beside him at the bar.
"I got you a drink." Kurt laughed, starting to feel a little less confident.
They clinked drinks, and began to enjoy their night. Turns out, Dicklover was only working as a waitress for now while she was waiting to hear back from medical school. Meanwhile, Kurt explained how his boring desk job was nowhere near that. Thankfully, the two found themselves closer than they thought, both enjoying things like hiking, sci-fi, and music.
After another hour and a half, the two were laughing away, but starting to get a bit buzzed. Thanks to their growing closeness, and to their intoxication increasing, Kurt made a decision.
"Yo, Dicklover." He winced, realizing he needed to fix her name. "I gotta show you something."
She sat patiently, and watched as Kurt took out his phone. On it, she spotted an odd app that she had never seen before. Kurt opened it up, and showed it to her.
"What's that?" She asked, taking another sip of wine.
"It's, uh... okay please don't write me off as crazy but I can prove it." He added. "It's a magic app that can change the world."
Dicklover stared for a moment, and then let out a loud laugh.
"Damn Kurt, you never told me you were a tech guy? What, coming up with TikTok 2 or something?" She laughed.
Kurt hit the app to generate a sentence. Dicklover spotted how it read "Dicklover is talking to a guy she's into."
"Wow, I'm into you now?" She laughed. "Who said that?" She asked rhetorically. Of course, she guessed that Kurt had written that, though was giddy inside as she hoped this meant this cute white guy liked her too.
"No, watch this." Kurt responded before freezing at the phone. "SHIT. WHAT WAS HER NAME AGAIN." He thought in a panic. "Jane... Janice... was it a J name... no I think... M...mmmmiranda!" He guessed, thinking that was right before typing in the change, and hitting enter.
"Okay, boom, what's your name?" He asked slyly.
"Uhhh, the same as it's always been." She replied, clearly confused.
"Just humor me, I think this may blow you away." He laughed.
"Alright." She smirked. "My name is, and has always been, Miranda Leveson." She laughed.
"Anddd?" Kurt gestured, hoping for some reaction.
"And what?" She asked, taking another sip.
"Oh.... oh I'm dumb." He slapped his head. "Okay, here, hold this with me."
Miranda was getting confused, but decided to play along. She held on with Kurt, and read the sentence.
"These two acquaintances are sitting in a bar."
"Okay... NOW watch this." He laughed, before changing bar to read winery.
Initially, Miranda wasn't impressed, but only because he had been staring into his eyes. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted something odd. The dark blues of the bar, were replaced by light yellows and browns. She turned around, and her jaw dropped. Instead of the dark bar they had been drinking in, they were in a winery. The night was lit up with bright lights, and the walls were lined with walls of wine bottles, and small groups of men and women quietly socialized around them.
"Shut. Up." She gawked.
"Cool huh." Kurt laughed, happy to finally show off his powers to someone else.
Unknown to the both of them, however, was that changing a location with you inside of it can have... unforeseen consequences. You could change to fit the situation a little too well, and too strong of a change can block out remembering it entirely. Luckily for them, this time, nothing much changed about them but their clothing. Now Miranda work a little white dress, while Kurt wore a nicer collared shirt and jeans.
"Wha- how did you... holy shit." She whispered aloud.
"Y-you changed that... just that WORD and now... are you like, a god or something?!" She gasped aloud.
"No no no. Just a normal guy I promise." He laughed. But I recently got this app earlier... and it really does what it says. You select a place or a person nearby, and it'll give you a totally accurate sentence about them, and then you can change any one word and it'll make it true!"
"That's... incredible. If I hadn't seen it I wouldn't ha- wait, you didn't use it on me did you?!" She suddenly asked, panicked for a moment.
"No! Of course not!" Kurt quickly lied. "Here, tell you what, you can even make the next change if you want."
Miranda wasn't sure. She was into the guy, but all of this was sort of crazy. She also couldn't help but wonder; what could this app do? What were its limits? Did it even have any? She thought about her odd day... the strays showing up, this guy flirting with him, how she just went along with it... and what was that stuff with her name? Hell, he asked about it twice now!
Then again... think of what she could do... what they both could do. Eventually, she responded.
