As the girls set out into the wilds away from the house, Shannon felt the nature within her soar. Running along on all fours, her heart soared for the freedom she felt. Being a human, being at home felt more and more foreign to her. The other girls seemed to settle in behind her, following her orders as they danced and played among the trees. Their howls filled the air as they bounded over streams, rolled through mud and leaves and chased deer. At one point, they stalked the creature, and a flash of desire filled Shannon as she began the hunt in interest. Her commands carried weight as instincts told her what to do, the girls closing in, and before long, its hot blood stained their fangs. For a moment, all the girls stared in shock at what they had just done. Anna looked about ready to faint, and the others weren't so sure either. Shannon, however felt the necessity. "Lets take care of it....we should honor this hunt." she intoned. SOmehow, almost on auto pilot, she knew how to use her claws to cut away the choicest pieces for herself, eating first, and the carcass she hung up to dry. The bones she buried with the forest.
When it was done, Shannon felt pride in what she'd done. She'd lead her pack well, and she could continue to grow it. Daylight was coming though, and she sensed the potential to transform back to ordinary humans. Gulping, she wished and wondered if there was some other way....
