Although she enjoyed the movie, Pam was still angry about being stuck as an eleven year old girl. The lie allowed her to get a discount, but now she was back to childhood, losing all of the benefits of adulthood.
And losing her former life… Scrolling through her phone contracts, she barely recognized any of them. She lost her boyfriend, her friends (the very few that stayed with her despite being a pathological liar…), her coworkers… All that was left from her original life were a few family members.
It hit her that she lost practically everything. And merely by trying to get a child discount for a movie...
Her mind started to think about ways to counteract the situation. She was still a stubborn woman after all, even if she turned into a child. In her mind, lies got her stuck in this situation, and they would be the ones to get her out of it.
But as stubborn as she is, the pathological liar still didn’t think about the long term consequences, and focused on the problems currently facing her. First and foremost, her inability to get alcohol.
As she left the theater, Pam saw that she got another message from her mother, probably worrying about her going by herself to a movie for the first time. “Pam, just text me when the movie is over and I’ll go pick you up”.
Focused on her current wants, the woman turned girl wrote “Don’t worry mom. I’ll get home by myself”. She hoped that the lie would still count despite being a message, so that she’ll be free to go by herself - she didn’t say that’s she’ll go home right away…
“I guess it’s fine… It’s only a short walk after all. I’ll see you at home!” was her mother’s reply. The daughter didn’t answer it.
Thinking that she solved that problem, Pam focused back on her original task - getting an alcoholic beverage. She went to a nearby bar, and was quickly stopped at the entrance by guard. “I’m sorry little girl, but I’ll have to see your I.D card. The bar is for adults only”.
“I don’t need to show my I.D card to enter. I look old enough to drink”. Pam said, avoiding saying that she’s actually that old.
After Pam said this, the guard started to look smaller, and he rubbed his eyes. “Yes. I’m sorry ma’am, my sight was playing tricks with me a little”, he told her, before letting her go inside. Success!
The girl smiled as she entered, succeeding in her plans, but first and foremost went to the bathroom. There, she wasn’t greeted in the mirror by the face of a preteen, but neither was it her original looks. She looked like a woman in her early twenties.
Despite this, looking at her I.D card, Pam saw that it was still one for middle school, and that her age was still listed as 11.
Her age didn’t change. She was now a preteen with the appearance of a young adult. Her lie worked! She wouldn’t be asked about her age to enter adult places because nobody would suspect a woman like that to be a young girl.
In fact, looking at the mirror, she thought that she looked even more… developed than her original self. Probably to amplify the thought that she’s more “mature”.
The original 30 year old Pam was 5’5 tall and had alright B cup breasts. Her new self was probably an inch of two taller and with an extra cup size - despite in this new reality being eleven years old!
Smiling, thinking that she outwitted her curse, the girl that now looks twice her age left the bathroom to the bar counter, and asked for a drink - getting what she asked for without further questioning.
