Early on a summer’s morning in Los Angeles, a new store opens, a sign above the door reading “Lazar’s Costume Shop”, the owner, an old man, who looks to be at least 80 years old, is standing behind the counter. Lazar is a powerful wizard, who became bored, he wished he were able to use his magic to help the world, but the magic council forbid it. “You are to old,” they had said, “you tend to misuse your powers and just cause chaos. If you do not follow the rules, we see ourselves forced to strip you from your powers!”
Lazar didn’t like the sound of that, he opened his mouth to argue and protest, but thought better of it, “understood,” is all he said, shortly after, the council dismissed him and he returned to his home.
Back in the present, Lazar, who himself thinks there is nothing wrong with him, quickly became bored, ‘how will I be able to help others if I am not alowed to,’ he had asked himself, then an idea hit him, ‘I know, I could open a store, I can create magical costumes, I’ll make so many people happy, and no one will notice,” so, that is how Lazar decided to open the costume shop.
To mask his true intentions, the costumes in the main part of the shop were normal costumes, but stored in the back were the living costumes, every single one of them looking just like a real animal. What Lazar is unaware of is, that the magic he used to create the "special" costumes, is leaking. The invisible "tendrils" silently move from under the back door and into the main shop area, the tendrils then start to seep into some of the normal costumes. Some of the costumes in the back are anthro while others are feral, in the main part of the shop, every costume is anthro and don’t look nearly as realistic as the ones in the back. So, it is no surprise that Lazar won’t notice that some normal non-magical costume have become living costumes, like the ones in the back room.
The costumes in the back and main part of the shop are all designed to look like animals: Foxes, Reptiles (Lizards, Dragons and even Snakes), Wolves, Dogs, Cats, Mice,… every known animal on the planet is found in the shop.
