Moments after Michael and Baal left, another demon arrived. She was female, and much like Sekhmet she had the head of a lioness. Unlike Sekhmet, she had the ears of a donkey and a set of pronged antlers. Her fingers were eerily long and ended in wicked claws, and she had the feet of a taloned bird with six raven wings to match.
"Sorry I'm late, Dad," the lioness-headed demon grumbled.
"I certainly hope you weren't avoiding this breakfast, Lamashtu," Lucifer said, narrowing his eyes.
"Forgive me if I'm not exactly excited to eat with a former human as if she were a member of the family," Lamashtu grumbled, rolling her eyes.
"Didn't you kidnap and marry four human women?" Maisy sneered.
"Only as lesser wives!" Lamashtu snapped. "You know perfectly well that my chief wife is Hecate, the daughter of Archduke Baphomet! Besides, my human wives know their place. They wouldn't DARE have breakfast with me and Hecate! Unlike yours, THEY know that they're pleasure slaves."
"Delightful as usual, sister dearest," Nocticula said, shaking her head and sighing at Lamashtu's unpleasant attitude.
"Who is this?" Rachel whispered to Maisy.
"My sister Lamashtu," Maisy whispered back. "She's Dad's sixth daughter and mistress of the hellhound kennels. Unfortunately, she is also arrogant, cruel, and racist. I'm sure you've picked up on her 'lovely' attitude towards humans. She's basically Dad's equivalent of Prince Jove Caelestis. You know, God's least pleasant child?"
"Yikes," Rachel winced.
"Will you be staying?" Lilith asked uncertainly.
"I suppose," Lamashtu sighed snottily, taking a seat. "I always did enjoy the company of animals." She looked pointedly at Rachel as she said the last word.
Maisy narrowed her eyes at her least favorite sister. "Take. That. Back!"
"Fiiiiiiiine!" Lamashtu sighed theatrically as she filled her plate. "I'm in no mood for a fight this morning. I have a date with Hecate this afternoon, and I can't afford to show up in a bad mood."
"But you're always in a bad mood!" Enoch laughed.
"Witty as ever, brother," Lamashtu groaned. She glanced around the table and noticed some empty seats. "So, who else is coming?"
"Jahi, Alecto, and Naamah," said Lilith. "All of your other sisters, basically. Your brothers besides Enoch all have duties that they can't get away from right now. Oh, and your Aunt Astaroth will be showing up with her new fiancee."
"Her new human fiancee," Lamashtu grumbled.
"Lamashtu, be nice!" Leviathan snapped. "In case you're forgetting, my wife was a human once herself!" He protectively put his strong, scaly arm around Sekhmet.
"Yes, Uncle Leviathan," Lamashtu sighed. "Darkness, this is going to be a long meal..." she quietly added to herself.
"Mommy, why is Aunt Lamashtu always so mean?" little Eisheth asked Abyzou.
"I don't know, Eisheth," Abyzou sighed to her daughter. "I just don't know."
