Chad checked in to his next period study hall, and got permission to go to gym to muscle train. He headed to the locker room. He planned to shower, and shave. He hurriedly stripped, and was shocked to see how hairy he was all over. Shaving wouldn't cut it. He wondered if someone had pranked him and put Rogain or something in his bodywash? He had hair growing in places that had always been smooth.
The swim team had an industrial size gallon tub of dipilatory that Bruno used religiously. He headed over toward the swim team lockers to borrow that tub. He might need all of it. He was naked except for the silver whistle bouncing up and down on his furry chest. Halfway across the locker room, Chad caught sight of his reflection in the wall mirror. He froze and gaped. He looked like a sasquatch or hairy ape. He walked closer to examine himself in the mirror. He smiled for a moment. This had to be a prank. Maybe the hair would fall off when showered. His teeth seemed longer when he smiled. He stopped smiling. This wasn't any ordinary prank. His teeth were getting pointy. Then he noticed his ears were getting pointy too. They also seemed higher up on his head. The silver whistle flashed in the sunlight streaming from the skylight on his darkening thatch of fur now covering his torso.
The whistle? It started after he blew that whistle. Maybe blowing again would stop it, or reverse it.
He grabbed the whistle and blew. It seemed even louder than it had earlier. He didn't notice that he had stopped changing. In fact, he seemed even harrier, his ears were so pointy now that the tips of his ears flopped over under their own weight. He panicked and rapidly blew the whistle a dozen times in rapid succession.
