The half-elf kept playing as he spoke. "I planned this campaign to have a lot of political intrugue and investigations. We will be going to a conference of kings. One of the royal families attending are vampires planning to enslave the minds of the other rulers to expand their control.
"Our task, is to discover the mastermind, expose the plot, and fight off any of their minions sent to intercept or assassinate use." The tone of his strumming turned more suspenseful. "Though the challenge isn't on us alone. The kings all have taken precautions against assassins, kidnappers, and of course various forms of mental manipulation both magical and non."
A gorgeous tall woman with raven black hair showing a generous amount of cleavage spoke. "How are we going to get into the conference. "
"Excellent question." The Bard responded. "I, the illustrious Illian, musician extraordinaire have been invited to intertain for the evening. Elyon and Julia are representing the guidance of the major religions so these proceedings can be blessed." He turned towards Julia. "Despite being a tiefling you have been entrusted with this position of authority, but you feel it could be a trap. Enemies who wish you expelled from the order are hoping you will cause an incident, either by being offended by any outrage the nobles may have from seeing a tiefling or by a mistake you made in your own inexperience. You are after all of 25."
Ge then switch his attention to Elyon. "You have had visions of impending doom and are hoping to avert this. You weren't supposed to be the representative but insisted, risking all your honor on the idea that you received the vision due to you being needed there."
He looked at the Rlaws. "You are campaigning for your people's right to have representation at these proceedings and once the mystery begins you hope that by solving it you can earn that privilege."
"Finally, Lydia." He said turning to the the statuesque woman who spoke before. "You hope to rob everyone blind." She smiled. "Of course you don't want to vampires to win, since that would mean the shadows you rely on will become all the more dangerous."
Everyone was excited for their party to begin. "We all met at this tavern and have agreed to travel the rest of the way together. I had it set up so we could travel for five days so we can get used to our new bodies and practice with our abilities. While a lot of it will be instinctual, you will find announcing you are doing somethings at a table and doing it here aren't exactly the same." He looked outside. "Now, it's still earlier so let us begin our journey.
