The following morning when Sarah was meeting with Claudia and the others, Chenoa and her new group of friends were still slowly waking up in the cabin home of Goldie and Bear Jr., and there was a knock at the front door. Spark happened to be one of the only people fully awake by the door first and answer it.
"Spark! You did find your way here." A blue-haired woman who looked a little older than Spark said giving her a hug.
"Calista? Wow, is this your human form? You look so....mature." Spark said trying to think of a compliment.
"Oh, thanks. I know it's a little weird to see your old friend as a grown woman while you're reliving your teenage years, but you'll get back up there." Calista said jokingly as Spark sarcastically laughed with her.
"So, did you come by just to joke about my puberty years or did you actually have something to tell me?" Spark said.
"I did, actually, but I do actually have news about Chenoa's parents. A squirrel woman said she found a deer trail that led to an old cave. I was going to check it out for myself, but then I thought: 'I should probably ask my good friend Spark and her friends for help first'." Calista said.
"That's good news, at least we have a lead now. By the way, a squirrel woman?"
"There are animals that like to shapeshift into human or anthro human form you know. You should probably tell your friends." Calista said.
"Morning Spark, who's at the door?" Connor asked yawning as Spark turned to see her boyfriend wearing his pajama pants, but didn't have his shirt on exposing his chest abs.
"It's....Calista....my....my....my god....my old friend from school. She's got news about Chenoa's mom and dad.....oh daddy....." Spark said as Connor nodded.
"Okay, well I'm going to get dressed and tell the others." Connor said as Spark fanned herself.
Calista looked at Spark with a smirk and Spark rolled her eyes and pushed her outside the cabin onto the deck and pulled the door shut behind her.
"So....about that boy?" Calista asked teasingly.
"His name is Connor Moreland." Spark finally said after a long breath.
"So you're not only still working with the Morelands, but you're also dating a Moreland? How intriguing, anything else I should know?" Calista questioned motioning up and down at Spark's body.
"We....we....we performed the rite of spring together." Spark finally admitted. Calista gasped and gave Spark an enormous hug.
"This explains so much. You're not only in love, you're practically engaged, and I saw how you reacted to Connor. I've got to say, I never thought I'd see the day when my friend Spark fell in love." Calista said.
"Don't tease." Spark said crossing her arms.
"I'm not Spark, believe me, I went through a similar thing with my family. You have got to give me the details when we go to the cave with the others." Calista insisted.
"Fine but only if you give me the details on your romance with your man." Spark said.
"Deal." Calista agreed shaking Spark's hand. "Now....my first question, have you seen his recent foot size?" Calista asked as Spark turned a bright red.
