Prior to the party, Chad had to demonstrate the zipper to multiple people, and convince them to be apart of the show. He thought long and hard about how many layers he should wear, and what order would have the biggest impact. Chad even went the extra mile to write a bit of a speech for each change.
The night of the party, the room was filled. Everyone was having a great time, but they were confused on why no one had seen Chad. Instead, everyone was greated by Hana who was playing hostess.
Hana was of Vietnamese decent and was 5'5 wearing a little black dress. Most people who attended the parties knew her, or at least recognized her as she was the audience member "abducted by aliens" at the Independence Day Party.
Hana also was wearing heels, which she seemed to be struggling a little with. Soon enough Hana took the stage set up. "Good evening everyone! Whose having a good time?"
The crowd cheered. "I'm glad to hear it. You're probably wondering where Chad is, but don't worry, he's closer than you may think. It's all apart of tonight's theme, walking a mile in someone's else's shoes. I for example, am currently walking in someone else's heels. They don't fit like I expected, but think you to all of you who helped me or caught me when I tripped."
Her smile turned mischievous. "And those of you who took the opportunity to cop a feel, talk to me later." There were some wolf whistles. Hana was a flirt, but she seemed a little looser tonight.
"The old saying is more about trading shoes, but how do we accomplish this? Can we put on a new face like a new suit? Well yes. All with the help of a special little zipper."
She held the microphone behind her back so they could hear her the zipper being pulled down. Hana's dress fell, leaving her in nothing but black lingerie and her heels. "Oops. Wrong zipper."
There were more whistles, some flash photography, and cheers. She paused to let everyone get it out of their system.
"Well the concept of being someone else isn't entirely new. Many people do it on the internet. Making avatars that look nothing like them, or even taking other people's photos to pretend to be someone else. Most of you have heard of, and might have experienced the phenomenon known as catfishing. You think you are in a long distance with a cute girl and then you meet in person, and you find out the whole thing was just a fake."
She turned around to show a zipper placed firmly in the flesh of her back. Again she held the mic up to the zipper as she pulled it down. As it opened, the skin underneath was very different, as it was black.
Hana proceeded to pull on the front of herself, causing the opening to widen. The person inside grew as the Hana suit was pulled off. In her place was now a 6'2 African American man built like a linebacker wearing nothing but a blue speedo.
Turning back to the audience, he tossed the empty husk of Hana behind himself which flopped on the ground. The new man began to flex his rippling muscles. Some peole recognized him as Jason, who had a football scholarship.
Like Hana, he was a good friend of Chad's and was sometimes apart of the shows. While both Jason and Hana usually denied having any pre knowledge of the shows, this seemed to make that more doubtful.
Finally, he picked up the mic and spoke with a deep voice, that would never have been able to imitate Hana's. "I thought you loved me for who I was inside." People laughed. "That's true, but it doesn't help when the inside is nothing like what you showed me."
Jason then picked up Hana's husk and zipped it up. She miraculously re-inflated, and Jason took the zipper off of her. Afterwards she went to stand on the side of the stage. "With this, you can spend the night as anyone. Doesn't matter, height, race or sex. Tonight is about seeing life through someone else's eyes."
Jason then placed the zipper on his chest, with it going between his pecks. "Maybe seeing who you are as someone else, we can learn a bit about who we are inside." With that he started pulling the zipper down.
