Things had taken a turn for the worse. While Spark and Calista were certain Chenoa's parents were alive a short time ago, the fact a skinwalker was pursuing them complicated things. Returning back to Goldies and Bears cabin, the teens now began to come up with a plan. A plan that would involve Connors brother.
"Spark when did Caleb say he would get here," Connor asked. "Probably 30 or 49 minutes after I called," she said. "He needed to grab a few things. Plus, he said he was bringing some help." Nat and the others now cast the fairy a curious look. To their knowledge only a few of Calebs friends were in town for spring break. Who exactly could he be bringing?
"So who do you think it is," Nat asked. "Do you think it's Duke?" Spark shrugged, that made the most sense. Sasha and Duke were in town. The couple would be a big help, especially when dealing with a skinwalker. Connor now glanced at his watch, Caleb should be here any minute. A knock on the cabins door now drew the teens attention, this had to be Caleb. "I'll get it it," Goldie called. Making her way to the door, she now opened it puzzled by what she saw. "You must be Caleb Moreland."
Caleb nodded, tipping his hat as Goldie looked to the four individuals behind him. "Yes ma'am," he replied. "And I take it you must be Goldilocks. Connor and Spark mentioned you lived here."
"I'm sorry did you say Goldilocks?"
Goldie glanced past Caleb, gazing at the befuddled woman. "Yes that's right," she said slowly. "I'm sorry I didn't catch your name."
"Sarah McMillan DHS," she replied, holding her badge up. "Miss um Locke what exactly is going on here?"
"Well I was about to make lunch," Goldie shrugged. "You're more than welcome to come in but please, try not to make a mess." Sarah and the others raised an eyebrow, a look of confusion on their faces. "Dealt with too many forest rangers," Goldie smirked. "Government officials have a tendency to put the job ahead of their manners." Sarah shrugged, not quite understanding what Goldie was saying as they now entered her home.
Nat and the others now watched as Goldie escorted Caleb and the others inside. As the teens now noticed Sarah and her team they were immediately confused. "Um Caleb " Spark asked. "Who are they?"
"This is Sarah, Dave, Greg, and Michelle," Caleb stated. "They're from DHS."
"The FEDS," Spark exclaimed. "You brought the Feds! What the hell is the matter with you?!" Nat and the others now protested as well, worried about what government agents were doing here and what they would do.
"Everyone relax," Caleb stated. "They're not here to hurt anyone they're just here to help. Besides, they already know about well....everything."
"Define everything?"
"Well," Caleb replied sheepishly. "They figured out magic, the Harris kids, and um that my family is a group of demon hunters." The teens now fidgeted nervously, glancing at one another. If the government knee what was going on, what would happen to them or their families.
"Can I say something," Sarah asked. Caleb nodded, the woman now gazing out at the group of apprehensive teens. "Look," she said. "I know this is alot to take in. Honestly, I'm still trying yo wrap my head around all this. An hour ago I had no idea about any of this."
"But you had an idea," Nat said softly. "After seeing the Harris kids."
"Yeah," Sarah replied, seeing the sad look on the teens face. "Look, I came here originally trying to find my old mentor. Instead I came across an entire world I didn't even know about. I know you might be thinking the worst but I'm not interested in going after any of you and neither is the government."
"Besides," Caleb smiled. "They got orders to work with us."
"Seriously," Rei exclaimed.
"Yeah," Caleb stated. "Looks like we got some extra hands to help us out for the foreseeable future."
