Janessa wanted desperately to use the amulet to transform into a man and fuck Anita just as hard as Antyny had fucked her. But she had a feeling that it wouldn’t work. The first two months of womanhood, she had her monthly flow. The last two months, however, she hadn’t. That, combined with the nausea she had been experiencing and her large breasts growing even larger, made her suspect she was pregnant. She didn’t know much about magic, but what she did know was that transformative spells wouldn’t work on someone with child.
So Janessa instead got up from the bed, upon which Anita was now sleeping, and went into the main harem quarters. Francesca and Borya were already asleep, too. Janessa laid on one of the many luxurious couches and curled up to fall asleep.
Janessa awoke the next morning to chaos. The King was nowhere to be found and no one had any idea of who he had last seen. When Anita was found, she was merely assumed to be a new concubine Antyny had just transformed to begin to break in. Janessa and the other concubines were questioned. Janessa lied, saying Antyny had fucked her and then left. After she was questioned, she was told to go back to the Royal Harem, but none of the Royal Guards could be present to escort her, as they were all searching for Antyny.
Janessa seized the opportunity and instead went to the Royal Laundry, where she stole a maid’s uniform and put it on. In addition to the gown, the uniform had a bonnet Janessa hid her distinctive red hair underneath. Now disguised, she slipped out of the Palace and into the capital city that surrounded it. She took yet another disguise, this one a regular gown and matching bonnet hanging on a drying line outside a house, and changed her clothes again.
Janessa knew she was now safe to travel. Even once it was discovered that a Royal Concubine was missing, they wouldn’t waste resources on finding her. Not with the King gone. However, she didn’t know the state of the roads. It might not be safe to travel as a lone woman all the way to the Eastern Hills, where Anya was from. She also couldn’t forget that she was with child, which increased the danger posed to her.
As Janessa reached the city gates, she debated her next move.
