The yellow scales spread over your legs as they joined into a single extension of your body. That extension stretched out into a long, tapered mermaid tail as your flattened feet merged into a wide, crescent-shaped caudal fin. At this point, you could no longer stand upright and you sprawled out on the ground.
Briefly, you envied the cecaelia's ability to hold themselves upright on their tentacles. However, you had to admit your tail was stunning. Curling it this way and that, you marveled at its flexibility. Finally, as fin-like ears replaced your human ones, your feminine figure adjusted even more, giving you larger breasts and butt. Your hair also got even longer, reaching down to where your previous thighs would have been.
Then, the changes stopped, leaving you a beautiful mermaid.
Still in shock at your changes, you did not resist as the cecaelia staff picked you up and placed you into the tank with the other mermaids. Victoria swam over to hug you, mashing your breasts together. "I'm so glad you joined us! You're so lovely!"
Recovering from the unfamiliar sensations, you manage to answer, "Um, thank you. You, as well." You really meant it. She had been lovely before, and she was even more so now.
Then, she backed off, and to your surprise, the blue mermaid also gave you a hug. Blushing, she mumbled, "Sorry, I just had to do this."
"Well, we are all in the same boat now. The same tank on the same boat," Victoria said, giggling. She seemed a bit giddier than before, like her inhibitions had been lowered.
"So, now what?" You wondered. "Is someone finally going to explain what's going on here? And why do I have a crown?"
The auction owner approached the tank. "Quite right. There is no use keeping it from you now. You see..."
