Raquel gasped and slapped Emilia’s arm playfully as her older sister just giggled.
That’s when Raquel and Emilia heard laughing coming from behind them.
“Ha ha, I didn’t know you felt that way, babe.”
The two Latinas turned around, wondering who could’ve said that. Both were surprised to find out it was Jake, Raquel’s boyfriend! He had overheard their conversation and was making his way over to them.
“Ah, hola Jake. What a surprise running into you here.” Emilia greeted him. Raquel meanwhile, was mortified that Jake had overheard her and her sister talking about the two boys from earlier. How much had he heard!? Was he mad!?
“Jake! Babe! Hi! I didn’t think I’d see you today, mi amor” She said, evidently flustered. “D-did you hear what I was saying earlier?”
“Uhh… was it something about a cute guy? Don’t worry babe, I know you didn’t mean it.” Jake answered.
Raquel breathed a sigh of relief before giving Emilia a smug look. “Hmph. Looks like I AM a good teacher after all.” She gloated to her sister before standing up to give Jake a kiss.
Emilia just rolled her eyes at her sister’s comment, before getting a strange feeling at the sight of Raquel and Jake kissing. She was… jealous that someone other than her was kissing Raquel?
“Eww, what!? That’s Asquerosa! She’s tu hermana, Emilia!” Emilia thought, confused. She absolutely wasn’t attracted to her sister, and she’d especially never kiss her like that!
The camera had also felt Emilia's revolting thought and gave her a little electric shock of magic, purging it from her mind. Emilia can’t remember what she was just thinking, but she’s glad her little sister finally has a man who treats her right.
“So babe, care to explain why I’ve found you at a sports store?” Inquired Jake.
Raquel giggled. “I needed some new shoes for our run tomorrow, remember? Can’t have you showing up my style.”
“Just for the record, she forced me to come with her in here.” Emilia chimed in. The three of them shared a laugh at her remark.
“Actually, while I've been shopping, Emilia’s been playing around with this cámara we found earlier today.” Raquel said, pointing to the polaroid in her sister's hands.
“Woah, that’s a retro camera if I’ve ever seen one,” said Jake, amazed at the polaroid. “I take it you bought it from an antiques place?”
“Si, we found it at some garage sale. It was about the only buena thing there.” Emilia answered. She couldn’t remember why she and her sister went to such a place. She hated getting dirty.
“Hey, since we’re all here together, why don’t we take a photo? I wanna see this camera in action.” Jake offered.
“Una maravillosa idea, mi amor! Por favor Emilia? You’re done with the camera aren’t you?” Raquel asked her sister.
“Si, I'm done playing with it so knock yourselves out." She responded, unaware that they were about to change.
