“Fuck this,” Rachael looking at Maisy; “I’m not going to let some moisten bint, tell me what my legal status and rights are. I had to endure that when I was a child under the abusive thumb of my father.”
“I can’t do anything to change this,” Maisy sighing; “this law is very brutal in its efficiency.”
“What about your father,” Rachael seething; “Can’t he do anything?”
“He might be able to veto it,” Maisy sighing; “But that will take time.”

“Alright,” Enoch looking at the ragtag party that has joined him; seeing that his foray into the remote sections of hell is not going to be as stealthy as he would like, he had to resort to speed and efficiency.
“Alecto, Lamashtu,” Enoch looking at his sisters; “you two have the wings to cover great distances. I need you both to act as scouts and survey the areas ahead of us.”
“Sensible,” Alecto nodding; “while you and Commander Baal take the areas we can’t see but can point you to.”
“Like caves,” Baal grimacing; “not a big fan of caves.”
“You were glad to be out of that bed,” Enoch smirking at the new Lord of Pollution and Grandmaster of the Order of the Fly; two titles that were once held by Beelzebub.
“And what,” Lamashtu looking bitter; “we hover back and let you have the fun?”
Enoch opened one of his small portals and pulls out a pump action shotgun from the human world and tossed it to Lamashtu. “In case you run into trouble. It won’t kill a demon, but it can give you the space you need to open a portal back to dad.”
“Does your sister know how to use one of those,” Baal looking at Enoch.
“Does a bear shit in the woods,” Lamashtu answering as the distinct click clack of the shot gun being primed answered that question.

“Nergal,” Lucifer pulling his newly promoted lord chancellor aside after the senate finished for the day; “you know full well that this new decree will not last. I will garner the support needed to veto it.”
“My lord,” Nergal looking smug; “it is for the best, we must all know our place in the cosmos.”
“The only one who has ever been certain about our place in the cosmos,” Lucifer pointing at Nergal; “is Jehovah. As I said,” Lucifer walking to his private quarters to discuss things with Lilith and Hecate; “the decree will not last.”
Nergal waits for Lucifer to be out of ear shot before grinning; “by then you fool, it will be too late.”

“So are these solder’s coming here,” Rachael reading the decree; “am I to be personally stripped?”
“They wouldn’t dare,” Maisy snarling; “I am the Arch-duchess of the ninth circle.”
“Miasma,” Svadilfari galloping towards his sister-in law; “I just heard the news. Is it true? The human born demons are now to be considered property?”
“Yes,” Maisy growling; “apparently some jack ass conservative prigs in the senate thought it would be a great idea to implement.”
“No that your sister Lamshtu,” Svadilfari answering; “was the author of this decree!”
“We will settle this now,” Maisy opening a communication portal; “Rachael staring reading that other book Enoch gave you. I have a feeling it’s about to come in handy. Dad,” Maisy seeing her father on the other end; “what the hell happened in the senate! Is it true that Aunt Lamashtu put this decree through the senate?”
“Calm down Miasma,” Lucifer shaking his head; “I’m working things on my end to get this thing killed. I’m not going to let hell fall into civil war. In the meantime; keep everyone safe. Including Hel and Fenrir.”
The portal closed leaving Maisy with more questions than answers.
