"Ok good. You are nice and dry" said Diane in the condensating tone
Samantha's mind raced. She tried to recall the wish she had made earlier and wondered if it had somehow backfired or if there was some sort of magical twist to it. She had wanted to be younger than the youngest person at the party, but she hadn't expected to become an actual infant.
Samantha's anxiety grew as she considered the implications of her current predicament. How would she communicate with others? Would anyone believe her if she tried to explain what had happened? Would she be trapped like this forever?
" Let's get you dressed and ready for the party," she said in a sing-song voice.
Samantha, unable to speak or protest, could only observe her surroundings and try to process her new reality. Diana selected a cute little outfit and dressed her, making sure to secure a pacifier on a clip to Samantha's clothing. With each passing moment, Samantha felt a deepening sense of powerlessness.
Samantha's gaze fell upon Iris, the woman who had brought her child, Luke, to the party.
"Hey, Di, is everything okay with Sammy? She seems a little... off," she whispered, glancing at Samantha.
"She just woke up from her nap. So is just a bit cranky. You remember how Luke was" said Diane
As the party continued around her, Samantha found herself amidst a sea of unfamiliar faces, unable to fully participate or express herself. But deep inside, a determination began to grow. She may be trapped in the body of a child, but she was still Samantha, with her adult memories and experiences. And she was determined to find a way back to her former self, no matter the challenges that lay ahead.
