Years later there would be a young girl practicing magic in a small library, going over the same books as she had a million times.
“Ugh, I’ve learned these a million times I need something new”
She says in frustration*
She gets up and looks around the library, when there is something she hadn’t seen before, a book sticking out behind the book shelf, she goes and moves the shelf and picks it up. Noticing it came from some kind of small opening in the wall
“What’s this?, has this always been here?”
She looks in the hole but doesn’t find anything but dust and a broken door. She takes the book and dusts it off, and begins to flip through it. Seeing many ancient spells she hadn’t ever known before.
However there was one in particular that caught her eye
“Dragonic Revertion: Many years ago, dragons were cursed by humans and the races of the earth. This spell was made by those that remain that wish to see them return with the curse broken. This spell is one way and once done the dragons will have immunity to their previous curse.
Signed the order dragon”
“Dragons are real?, if this is true…..should I?….well it seems like they were cursed so it would be right to help them wouldn’t it?”
She begins to recite the spell, sounding out ancient words she had never read. Once done there was a surge of magical energy that swept across the globe. Deep within the earth, the cursed dragons felt themselves awaken, their sloth, greed, hatred, horniness, hunger, and cursed forms faded. Their bodies and minds reverting back to their original states. Their claws, horns, and teeth became polished and shape once again, their scales become beautiful and divine and no longer like stone. Fauna and floral dragons becoming druid dragons once again, slime dragons regaining their scales becoming fairy dragons again, kobolds reverting back to half dragons. (However kobolds did not go extinct as the half dragons gained the ability to turn humans into kobolds), fat dragons shedding their weight, etc. They let out roars of relief. They are now in their original forms as if the spell never happened, this affects all dragons even those not alive at the time. The dragons looked around as if they had awoken from a nightmare, looking down at their surroundings they felt a sense of shame and anger and those who did this. Now with the changes reverted and immune to the spell that cursed them, filled with confusion, anger, and relief, the dragons once again unite as a species as many dragons start to burst out of their long forgotten caves, emerging to a very different world than when they left
The curse is broken, the changes reversed, and dragons have returned, people look around in shock and confusion as dragons fill the skies once again, to reclaim their world, either though peace or war
