“Are you two excited to purchase the new Change Candy?” your friend inquires as you, she, and your boyfriend walk toward the Magic Shop.
“You bet we are,” you gleefully reply. “I’ve been wanting to try it ever since I saw the commercial.”
“Splendid,” your friend comments. “I’ve also been wanting to purchase the same thing. I wonder what kind of changes it will make to us.”
“I don’t know,” you say, “but I can’t wait to find out.”
You arrive at the Magic Shop and enter. You and your friends then split up to look for the Change Candy. Your boyfriend searches the left side of the store, your best friend looks right, and you look around the middle. Eventually, you find it in a bulk bag on one of the center shelves. You promptly text your best friend and boyfriend about this, and they show up in less than a minute. The three of you get to the counter to purchase the Change Candy. The cashier is a pretty brunette woman with alluring blue eyes. She smiles at you as you show her the Change Candy.
“So let me get this straight,” the cashier summarizes, “you three want this bulk of Change Candy to share, right?”
“Correct,” your friend answers.
“Well then,” the cashier informs. “Since you are buying this during the Fourth of July sale, this is going to cost two dollars and fifty cents.”
“So about half as much without tax?” your boyfriend asks.
“Yes,” the cashier answers.
You give the cashier three dollars, and she gives you two quarts as your change.
“Have fun with the Change Candy!” she says.
All three of you leave the store. You can’t wait to try the Change Candy! You and your friends go to your boyfriend’s house to do that. Your boyfriend informs you and your friend that because his parents aren’t home yet, this should be the perfect time to take a piece of Change Candy and eat it. Your friend pulls out the paper inside the bulk and silently reads it.
“Guys,” your friend tells, “this won’t affect our clothes when we eat this candy.”
“So should we strip out of our clothes?” you ponder.
“If you don’t want any damage to them, yes,” your friend answers.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” your boyfriend comments. “We’re only in our sophomore year!”
“Don’t worry,” your friend instructs, “I’m sure that none of these will mentally change us. We can eat any piece of candy, and none of it will probably change each of our relationships.”
“Still,” your boyfriend informs. “I’m keeping my clothes on regardless.”
“Me too,” you add.
“If you say so,” your friend says. “Who’s going to eat a piece first?”
