Jeff's heart races in his chest as a surge of energy courses through him. His body becomes enveloped in a shimmering light, and he feels a strange sensation of both solidity and fluidity.
He can feel his body changing, morphing, his skin hardens and cools as if turning into metal. His body quickly adjusts to the change, feeling a sudden lightness. He looks down and gasps, or rather, tries to gasp, but all that leaves his mouth is a high-pitched squawk. His legs, once human, are now clad in a shiny silver material, tapering down to sharp, talon-clad mechanical feet.
Stunned, Jeff lifts one hand - or rather, a wing - to his face. His wing is also covered in polished silver material, intricately fashioned into mechanical feathers that gleam under the room's light. Compelled by a sudden instinct, he flexes the wing, and is surprised by the strength and precision of his movements.
He reaches up with a talon to touch his face, feeling the cold hardness of the metal beak. His eyes, once brown, now shine with a radiant blue light. He blinks, and the room projects onto the wall, a perfect and clear image. Hesitatingly, he projects a text on the wall, "I can't believe it."
Ken laughs, “You look amazing, Jeff,” he says, grinning, “you're like a mechanical predator of the skies, a cyborg hawk.”
Jeff squawks again, projecting on the wall, "it's weird, but also, cool. It's like I've become a marvel of technology."
Ken chuckles, “You sure have, buddy,” he says, “Now, try those jets out.”
With a thought, Jeff triggers the jets hidden in his wings, immediately propelling him off the ground with a burst of speed. He maneuvers around the room, his hawk instincts guiding him, and he finds he can move with a grace and speed unmatched by his old human form.
As he lands back on the ground, he projects a message on the wall, "This is incredible, Ken. I can't wait to see what changes you will undergo."
Ken smiles, “Well, let’s not wait any longer then,” he says, moving back to the Chronivac, eager for his own transformation.
