The July Issue was called the Lucky Seven Edition, partly because seven was considered a lucky/auspicious number in many cultures, but also because of several incredible discoveries in a few Animalia Colonies.

The Cover Article was, without a doubt, the one that covered the Mesozoic Enclave, which not only included Club Claw, but also the Mesozoic Enclave's branch of Dino Dome. Not only did Sophie and Roland's continued coverage include the Dino Dome, but it also included the Dino Dome's inaugural matchup.

Another thing was an article that tracked the War Against Sauron (a.k.a. WWII). This was mainly inspired by When Worlds Collide..., but it was also a spoof article about the kind of war that Animalians would take part in, which was more like a Late Rennaisance-Early Colonial period conflict.
One surprising part of the article revealed that several of the battles were actually inspired by real conflicts from world history, especially those that were either won against extreme odds or accomplished in odd ways. The best example of this was the Battle of the Landbridge, which, everyone was surprised to learn, was inspired by a real battle: Alexander the Great's siege of the island of Tyre. In the siege, Alexander the Great decided to build an enormous causeway to take the city of Tyre. Tyre retaliates by creating the Classical Era equivalent to a car bomb (a ship laced with dried wood, a pilot flame, and an unknown mixture of beeswax, olive oil, and animal fat) and rammed it into the causeway. However, there was one key difference from the Battle of the Landbridge: Alexander the Great managed to get the kings of Cyprus to lend their ships to him, thereby dooming Tyre to defeat.
Another part of the article showed that, even though the Battle of the Landbridge was a key victory for the Alliance against Sauron, Sauron's own victories were enough to keep the allies on their heels, partly due to the Black Huns (as the Mongol extremists who sided with him were now called) and their effectiveness in war. This part was inspired by the simple fact that the Mongolian Empire was considered one of the great empires of the world, after Rome itself.
Similarly, with their occupation of Sicily, the Uruk-Hai were able to expand their conquests into Africa and the Middle East. This new threat was apparently enough to convince Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (normally political and spiritual enemies) to put aside their differences and ally against Sauron, especially with the knowledge that Sauron was the original Necromancer and was passing knowledge of that and similar dark arts on to the Mystic Tribe of Uruk-Hai.

The final special article talked about lucky and/or valuable discoveries that were either made by Animalians or discovered in/near their colonies. Jean's discovery of the Bronze Age shipwreck near Aeaea was a prime example of this, also that one of the crates brought up contained orichalcum ingots, lending further credence to the idea that Atlantis was a real location. A trace of a Minoan seal on one of the ingots also added credence to the theory that Atlantis had been a Minoan civilization, not a Greek one.
A similarly valuable discovery was actually made by Khan and Marla, though in a different way. The two of them were doing a... not-really-walkabout (since they were kangaroos) when Marla spotted something shiny in the river they had stopped by. When they turned it over to the Ayer's Rock authorities, they were surprised to learn that Marla had, quite literally, struck gold. Fortunately, the stream where Marla found the small gold nugget was nowhere near Aboriginal land, so the Australian government was able to get a small mining town/Animalia colony set up there.
Finally, the other thing that was considered valuable wasn't treasure per se, but the Thousand-Year Peach Tree that was on the new island that was going to be a new Animalia colony for China and Japan. Nate wasn't at the airport to greet his family because he was picking a few ripe peaches (with both Chinese and Japanese government permission) from the tree, strictly from a professional interest. He was there to greet them when he arrived back home and was there when Shuixing finally gave birth to their new calf, so he didn't miss too much.
