“So, when the stone broke, nothing happened until sundown and then you transformed?” inquired Mary Goodwill as the formally human, now a half human half cat creature sat on a chair in her lab in the mostly darkened university hall.
Before her standing was her grad aid who like her had just been transformed by a bite from one of the other two who stood before her.
One, a jaguar man was once one of her top freshmen students Oscar, the other a cheetah woman was a B- to C range student named Lindsay. With her new improved smell, she could still smell that the two of them had mated in the recent pass but she didn’t care all that much.
In her new form, her cloths seamed to be more of an announced so she had removed them, her body was covered in light grey fur and her eyes where no slitted. Her ears where now much longer with a short tail made her think she had become some kind of bobcat or lynx hybrid but either way she liked…no loved how she felt now.
“Yes, our friends who where in the room also transformed and when we bit my parents and later you they transformed as well.” Answered Lindsay
“Where did the stone come from?” inquired Oscar
“It came from this.” Stated Monica as she turned on a laptop and pulled up an image, the young women had become a tiger women.
She turned the screen around to show the image of a statue showing two cats, one looked to be a male lion while the other a lioness.
“This ideal was found at a dig in Egypt in 1884 and has been basically been left in the backroom of the British museum ever sense.” Explained the Professor Goodwill “Wasn’t seen as interesting enough to be put on display.”
“What changed interest in it?” inquired Oscar
“One of my friends took an interest in it, once he noticed that the cat ideal had features from multiple different cats and some from cats which ancient Egypt should have no knowledge of.” Stated Goodwill “If you look closely, the male lion has the wrong type of tail and tiger strips on the legs, while the lioness has spots of a jaguar and the ears of a linx. A shard of the statue had been broken off in the ancient pass and was sent to me to study.”
“And what type of stone was it?” inquired Oscar
“No idea, we couldn’t identify it.” stated Monica as the elderly now cat creature professor glared at the younger women for a moment.
“I wonder if this is permanent or is it like a werewolf thing and we turn back into humans at dawn?” inquired Lindsey, she would have been horrified to see how now she looked a few hours ago but at the moment she liked how she felt and looked.
“No idea, there where no markings on the statue.” Stated Professor Goodwill “We will have to wait to see at dawn but given a bite can change a person a werewolf or rather werecat is most likely.”
“If we don’t change back into humans we could be hunted down, we should try to spread this gift to those who don’t understand it.” Stated Oscar
“Yes.” Confirmed Lindsey “Do you have the ideal? If breaking a small shard can transform everyone in a room imagine what breaking the statue itself will do?”
“Professor do you have it?” inquired Oscar
