Alicia knew it was evening, and likely few stores were open at this point...but she did know of a few around the town that did remain open to a pretty late point. "I'll head out and see what I can find..." Alicia then cupped her chin and looked Kevin over, "You...don't feel different in any other ways, do you?" She wondered if there might be more effects to this than she might've known. Hell, at this point she didn't know what the cause was. It was every bit as probable that this was the work of something on Kevin as opposed to her. But the more she thought about it...
"I feel fine, don't worry babe." Kevin walked over and planted a kiss on her cheek, "Nothing more's going on over here. Just got hairier and thicker. I mean, I can stay on the football team at this rate. Just gotta switch positions." He didn't think much about the weird way his hair had changed color, and what that might signify, but he decided to just take things one step at a time.
"Just...give me a call if anything more happens." Alicia stated as she got some fresh clothes on, along with a jacket due to the breezy night winds. As she headed out the door, she gave one last look at Kevin - now sitting down to watch some TV, still in the nude, trying to relax. She glanced down at her phone in her pocket and, as she closed the door behind her, she hoped she didn't get any calls from him about something happening.
As Alicia got into her car and started the engine, waiting a moment to let it heat up before moving out on to the road, she found herself looking around. The town around the college was starting to wind down at this hour. Most people still on the road, like the sporty car that passed her on the road blaring music, were rowdier college students aiming to have a good time in the night. The dusky orange light of the setting sun bathed the entire town in a dim light, shadows starting to grow longer - tree branches beginning to sway as the cold night winds began to settle in.
Alicia drove down one of the roads and crossed a light - not many people waiting there for the light to change. Thankfully it seemed like she was the only one on the road tonight. She tilted her head, glancing down at her pocket. Still no calls from Kevin, which was...a good thing. She hoped that the time she had to say "it's a good thing my boyfriend didn't call" could be over soon. There had to be a reason for those changes that happened.
It couldn't just be a quirk of the cosmos...
And she eventually found her way to the store she knew of that stocked bigger and taller clothes selections.
The store was one of the newer clothes stores that had moved in after the last place in that lot had gone out of business. Cost cutting measures the larger brand had enacted to try and maintain their overall business at the cost of some distribution centers. This however had failed and they ended up losing too many locations. This place was the beneficiary of that bad news for the larger brand.
Parking outside, she made her way in and picked out some new clothes for her beau. A couple thin material white tank tops, new shorts, and two t-shirts. These should be able to tide Kevin over at least until he could update his wardrobe himself. As Alicia bought the clothes, the young man at the front looked at her, looked at the clothes, and said, "Shopping for the boyfriend?"
"Yeah," Alicia blithely stated, "He has uh, outgrown his usual. So he needs something new." And you have not the slightest idea how fast that happened, Alicia mentally added.
"Alright, the payment went through. Your boyfriend's one big man!" Alicia nodded politely and then left the store with her new acquisitions. Still no calls from Kevin, and she hoped that things were all good on his end. That he wasn't so distracted or taken by some change that he didn't even have the ability to call. She didn't know if the changes would persist and continue past the point of sexual contact - which meant that...well, going out like this might be risky.
As she drove home, Alicia glanced more and more at her phone. Worry biting at her as she wondered...
By the time she got home, walking over to the door, one arm holding the shopping bag full of new clothes, Alicia hoped that Kevin wouldn't be any different from when she left him. Breathing and turning the nob to open the door, she walked in...
