Tanner the otter just grunted and continued to spread a clear-coat of the floor treatment, wishing to god that Gio would shut up for one second about horses and their endowments for a damn second. Admittedly, the constant monologue from the wolf did liven up the day a little bit, and it certainly didn’t slow Gio down any; if anything, Gio was working faster and more energetically that Tanner had ever seen him for weeks. Fur dryers were installed flawlessly, drain traps and doorknobs were smoothly replaced with anthro-friendly ones, and the pheromone filters in the vents were keeping the air nice and free of any distracting odors. Indeed, after Gio had went a little rogue the day before, Zeke had stepped things up and started installing a whole-building filter in the apartment building’s main air circulator, which would certainly help those with more sensitive noses breath a little easier.
“Yeah yeah… I get it, you like getting railed by huge cocks, Gio… But speaking of a 'perfect fit', I’m surprised you can even walk straight, if he’s as big as you say,” Tanner sighed as he finished the last spot of floor. “After going the whole night-”

“...You’re a fucking animal. I’ll never understand you, Gio,” Tanner replied gruffly before finally letting out a short, barking laugh. He liked Gio, even if the guy was as dense as a bag of bricks, and while their tastes in men might differ their appetites were one in the same. “Well, I think we’re about done with this one, I think that’s the last of the unoccupied apartments we’ve got in this building…”
“Mmm-hmm, pretty soon the whole building will be all furred up! Maybe a couple feather and scales too, just to keep things interesting,” Gio said with an eager grin, his tail cheerfully.
“...No wonder Zeke pulled you off the main team for the week. If it were up to you, we’d turn the whole city into anthros overnight, and damn the consequences, right?” Tanner grunted, undoing the top button of his jeans to let his gut breathe free a bit. Rubbing his furry belly idly, he said, “That said… This is takin’ a little longer than Zeke and the other bosses said it would. I still get lots of weird looks whenever I go out on the town, wish we could get the humans to be more open-minded a little faster.”
While Gio and Tanner cleaned up their tools and prepared to move on to their next room, Tanner felt a buzz in his pocket and pulled his phone out, glancing at the message that had just been sent.

“New job just came in, wolf. Down to floor 2, move it,” Tanner sighed. He’d been hoping for a break, but dealing with an occupied apartment would be a pain in the ass.
“Are they on the list? Do we get to… you know?” Gio asked eagerly, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
“No, they’re not, you idiot. Just a simple renovation, and that’s it!”
“...Are you sure~? I mean, these things get soooo confusing sometimes, don’t they?” Gio said with a knowing wink. “I mean, if something happened and a couple capsules got misplaced, that’s just the cost of doing business, right?”
Tanner just narrowed his eyes and ignored the question. While Gio seemed intent on getting himself skinned by the boss, Tanner wasn’t in the mood to start looking for another job anytime soon.
...Although, the stories Gio had been telling about getting ‘the perfect boyfriend’ out of his little bit of mischief were starting to influence his mood. Just a bit.
