A thick paw with golden brown fur emerged from the rubble, trying to push the debris away. A muffled groan came from the pile where the paw was sticking out. After moving more debri, a massive figure emerged covered in black dust. It had round ears, black claws, and a long muzzle. It looked to be about three times her size, but Priscilla stood still as the creature started to regain its senses. A husky voice came out of the creature that looked like a giant grizzly bear. “Honey, is that you? What happened?” It was strange that this bear man sounded just like her husband Keith. Before any of them could question their changes, two more piles of rubble started to shake, meaning their children were coming too. Keith took to one while Priscilla started at the other. One pulled up a smaller black bear, the other unearthed a large polar bear. Just like that, the family was back together, and they could finally acknowledge the elephant in the room: they had all turned into bears. Priscilla had become a spectacle bear, Reena into a polar bear, Mark into a black bear, and Keith into a grizzly bear. The entire family had grown larger, both in weight and in muscle, and had lost all their belongings when the meteor hit.
After cleaning themselves off, Kieth spoke up again, “Well, we can’t just sit here and be sad. Come on, let’s go.”
