Run and Thomas both head to bed with much on their minds. Ryan thinks about what Samantha had said earlier and his new job, while Thomas is thinking about what weres there was and about his new school.
At five in the morning Ryan wakes up and starts to work out while his brother sleeps all morning and by seven Ryan heads out the door to go to the station. Upon arriving at the station he is greeted by many officers and is able to find his locker with the help of a kind officer.
“Not many people here look like weres like Samantha said but she did say that it is a very well kept secret. I wonder who is what and if Thomas will be ok with the changes” Ryan said aloud as he got changed into his new uniform.
“You really need to look into a weredog. Some of them have great sniffers. Personally I went with werewolf.” A man to Ryan’s left said. “I’m Lucas. I’m going to be training you about Moon Lake and its laws here. I can smell that you're human so I know I shouldn’t talk about this but seeing that we are going to be working together I might as well introduce myself.”
Ryan offers Lucas his hand. “I’m Ryan Munding. Just transferred from New York. Thanks for the heads up Lucas.” They shake hands and head to the bull pen for assignment. “So when did you come to Moon Lake, Lucas?”
“I was born here. My mom was in Texas when she dated a werewolf and she got pregnant with him. Soon after she came here and gave birth to me. Been here ever since. What made you come to Moon Lake yourself?”
“My brother and I came here to start anew but my brother doesn’t see it that way. I lost my job because I took care of my brother for over a year and a half after our parents died from a drunk driver running them off the bridge. My Sargent told me of Moon Lake and sent my files here.”
“Alright you animals,” A big man comes up to the podium and starts talking to the whole room. “We have a new transfer here all the way from New York State so I want you all to welcome him to our team with all the best. Now we have reports of a wolf terrorizing campers in the south woods so newbie your with Lucas to see what’s going on out there. Otherwise duty as normal. Let’s go.” The captain leaves the room and Ryan gets up to head to the lockup to get a rifle.
