Johnny waited for a while, but nothing happened.
"Damn." he muttered.
He looked at his feet; his bare toes wriggling and flexing like worms.
"Obviously nothing would really happen." he muttered to himself. "There's no way people can turn into fish by themselves." He felt silly and ddin't expect it to actually work.
He felt a cold breeze caress the bare parts of his body, and he saw the sun was slowly sinking, bathing the island in sunset. "Ah well," he said. "Time to go home."
he went bleow deck to remove his wet swim shorts, change into his clothes, put his boots and socks back on, tied up his boat on the dock, and headed back to his house. He glanced back at the sea.
'Still, It would be nice to be a fish.' he thought, as he walked back to his house. 'not having to worry about things; no work to do, no clothes to wear, no money worries, anything. Just being able to swim carefree in the oceans all around the world.'
he grinned. as he walked all the way home.
