Stephanie was really warming up to Travis after the ice cream talk, she had thought it was going to be a fun time at the movies as well, but any movie that was currently playing was either sold out or would go on too long before Stephanie was supposed to be home.
"Maybe, we could watch just one film that's not too long." Stephanie suggested. Travis looked at his watch before looking at Stephanie. "Uh, I don't know, I realize you're probably up for seeing a movie right now, but I really don't want to make a bad impression on your moms and bring you home late."
"Well, aren't you a real gentleman, so...what should we do then?" Stephanie asked batting her eye lashes. "Do you just want to look at the stars?" Travis asked as Stephanie had a surprised look on her face. "Something wrong with that?" Travis asked. "No, no, it's just that I don't think anyone has ever actually asked me that on a date and it's something I've always kind of wanted to do." Stephanie said.
Travis and Stephanie made their way to an area where there was plenty of area to view the stars and there wasn't so much light pollution to block their view. Stephanie and Travis gazed up at the stars and the few constellations up in the sky and it really amazed Stephanie to see.
"Beautiful isn't it? Some people never take the time anymore to appreciate the little things in front of them." Travis commented.
"Yeah, it looks little from here, but all those little dots in the sky are other galaxies, maybe other people or beings looking at our planet. Seeing one star in the sky among so many other little ones, it just reminds me that no one is ever really alone." Stephanie said.
"Right. It's nice to do this together with someone." Travis said as he looked to see Stephanie looking at him with her eyebrow raised.
"What?"
"That was a perfectly good line to follow up with a kiss." Stephanie suggested. "Oh, sorry, is it...alright to....?" Travis asked but didn't finish as Stephanie gently took him by his shoulders and the two of them kissed. Stephanie couldn't explain it, but kissing Travis somehow made her feel like she was alive. After the kiss, Stephanie blushed tomato red and so did Travis.
"You know, I don't think I need to see a movie, this night has been amazing." Stephanie said. "So are you." Travis complimented. "I think I'm ready to go back home now." Stephanie said.

Stephanie looked at her watch to see it was 10:30 at night, a perfectly reasonable hour for Stephanie to arrive back as the two of them walked up to the front door.
"I've had a great night, Travis." Stephanie thanked. "I'm happy you did, do you want to go out again sometime? I know school's coming up, but maybe before then? Or maybe after school? Or...." Travis tried to say before Stephanie kissed him on the lips.
"I'll let you know when I'd like to go." Stephanie said as Travis smiled and said good night to her.
Stephanie let out a sigh before opening the door and saw her mothers sitting on the couch reading some brochures.
"Hi Steph, how was....?" Ann said before Stephanie kissed her mothers on the cheek. "He was amazing, we're gonna go out again sometime. I'm pretty sure I'm in love with him." Stephanie said.
"Really? What's he like?" Jackie asked her daughter.
"He's really sweet and very understanding. I told him all about my parents and he was so....thoughtful about talking to me about them and you two of course. I can't explain it, but I guess when he lives in a mortuary your folks explain to you how to deal with death. But oh my, Travis, he's so....wonderful. Anyway, I'm going to bed. Love you moms." Stephanie said as she headed to her bedroom.
Ann and Jackie made sure Stephanie was completely in her room before the two of them spoke with each other.
"Seems like he didn't spill the beans on his family." Ann said. "That's okay, let the boy tell her when he's ready. Come on, let's get to bed too." Jackie said as the two of them headed to their bedroom.
"You know summer's almost over, so I'll have to head back to university. Will you be alright to take good care of her without me while I'm gone?" Jackie as she began to slip into her pajamas.
"Of course darling, and be sure to call one of us whenever you can. Stephanie's still new to the dating game like this, so we've got to be there for her." Ann said. "By the way, what are you putting on?" Ann asked.
"My pajamas, why?" Jackie asked as she turned around to see Ann sitting on the bed naked with her back turned to her.
"The door's locked and Steph's in bed, I think we could have a little private time for the night." Ann suggested as Jackie smirked and took off her pajamas to strip down naked and slipped her arm around Ann's arm to touch her breast.
"You don't think we went a little overboard, do you? Meeting his parents before she did?" Jackie asked. Ann turned her head and gently began kissing Jackie on the lips as Jackie kissed her back.
"Darling, we're being parents, we're raising a daughter, you and me, we don't know exactly what we're doing, but no parent does. We just go along and we won't know if we've got it right until we see our child happy." Ann assured Jackie.
"Heh, our child. Angel, I can hardly believe this, but it's true, we may not be married...yet. But you and I are together and are raising a daughter and the thing I'm glad for right now is that all three of us are happy." Jackie said as Ann and Jackie got under the bed covers and soon slept the night away happy together as a family.
