As Stephanie dragged Travis away, the others chuckled as they watched the pair go. "He has no idea what he's gotten into has he," Amara smirked. The others nodded in agreement, Travis definitely had his hands full. "So what do you guys want to check out first," Rei asked.
"Snow cones," Spark exclaimed excitedly as she began to drag Connor away. The teenage hunter casting his friends a befuddled look as he called back. "I guess Spark wants a Snow Cone. I'll text you."
"As for me and Chenoa I was thinking of checking out some of the rides," Miles grinned. "I know last year they had a big ferris wheel." Chenoa paused, casting her boyfriend a curious look. "I thought you said ferris wheels were slow and boring?" Miles now leaned close to Chenoa, whispering into the Deer girls ear. Slowly the girls eyes began to widen, the others seeing her mocha skin blush. "Oh," she gasped. "Yes now I understand. Of course Miles I would very much like to go on the ferris wheel and make-out with you."
Nat and the others now stifled a laugh, Miles turning crimson as he and Chenoa ran towards the rides. "And then there were four," Rei smiled. "So what do you two want to do?"
"Kind of want to check out the artists," Miranda said softly. "Me and my momma always like buying homemade jewelry." Amara seemed to perk up at her girlfriends suggestion. "That sounds like a great idea," she said. "Maybe we can buy eachother something." "Art show it is," Nat said happily, the quartet now moving towards the towns green.
For the group of girls, they found the entire layout to be amazing. Artists from all over now had their work laid out for sale. Paintings, pottery, jewelry, even hand woven rugs were on display, the girls happily gazing at each item. Miranda though, noticed something that she immediately became excited about.
"They have face painting!!!"
Miranda now grabbed Amara's hand, dragging her girlfriend forward as Nat and Rei tried to keep up. Skidding to a stop the teens watched as the artists showed off their talent, drawing colorful pictures on happy children's faces. "Amara you should totally get your face painted!"
"What," Amara balked. "Cmon Miranda you can't be serious?" Miranda giggled, looking over the designs before deciding on having a small unicorn painted on her face. "Very serious," she said. "Cmon Amara it's fun. I haven't gotten my face painted since I was a kid. I'll even pay." Amara scoffed, rolling her eyes. "No way I'm not some little kid Miranda."
Amara's statement now drew an impish smile from both Nat and Rei. Standing behind Amara the two teens now gave a signal to their friend about their intentions, Miranda giving the pair a nod and a small smirk as Rei began to cast her spell.
As Amara continued to grumble about getting her face painted, she failed to notice Nat and Rei's spell begin to take effect. Miranda, though, was able to view it unobstructed. Amara's already cherubic face began to puff out, her features softening as she began to grow smaller. The demon now paused as she found herself having to look up at her girlfriend. "Did you get taller?"
"Nope mi amor," Miranda smirked. "You got shorter." Anara raised an eyebrow, quickly looking herself over before letting out a startled shriek. "You made me younger!"
As Miranda giggled, Amara looked herself over. The assets of puberty had abandoned the girl, Amara now finding herself much smaller with a slightly pudgy body. "What the hell," she grumbled. "What am I? Eight? Also, is that my voice? I sound like a chipmunk!"
"Well you're the cutest chipmunk I've ever seen," Miranda smiled, pinching her young girlfriends cheeks. "And now, you got no excuses why you can't get your face painted!" Amara grumbled, astonished that no one seemed the wiser that Nat and Rei had transformed her into an 8 year old girl. Hopping into the artists chair, the girl now gazed at her much smaller feet as they swayed back and forth. "She'll take this one," Miranda said quickly, pointing to a design that Amara didn't quite see. "What did you pick," she asked. Miranda smirked, telling Amara it was a surprise.
The entire face painting ordeal only lasted 10 minutes, Amara closing her eyes as the artist did her work. If the mara was being honest, it wasn't an awful experience, the paint a bit cold but, proving to be quite refreshing on a hot summer day. As the artist finished, Amara blinked, her eyes now gazing at her smiling friends.
"So what do you think?"
Amara now glanced at the mirror the artist held. This was the first chance she had to see her regressed features. Unfortunately, it was proving difficult to gage how she looked as her entire face was covered in what Amara could only describe as a lighthearted joke.
"Really?! A cat?"
"What," Miranda said, her smile seeming to stretch ear to ear. "I think you look adorable as a cat." Amara grumbled, hopping out of her chair as she now stood next to her girlfriend. "You definitely owe me Miranda," Amara whispered. "You know I'm scared of cats."
"I promise mi amor," Miranda smiled, placing a gentle kiss on the top of Amaras head. "But you have to admit, you do make a really adorable kitty." Amara sighed, nodding in acceptance. She did look adorable, she just hoped Nat and Rei wouldn't leave her eight for the rest of the day.
