It was like a jolt of electricity as the gypsy teens lips came in contact with Alice. The 16 year olds eye going wide in astonishment as Lorelai took a step back. As she did, a befuddled look came over her as she studied Alice. "Hmmm forgot about that late growth spurt. Looks like I'm a bit shorter than you now."
"Huh."
Lorelai giggled, tossing her thick black hair over her shoulder as she looked into Alice's eyes. For Alice she couldn't help but find the girl mesmerizing. Flawless olive skin, sparkling dark eyes, and thick, luscious dark hair that framed her innocent face (and probably destroyed many a brush). Still, Alice was a bit taken aback by what had happened. "So how was it," Lorelai asked, the girls voice melodic yet youthful.
"Um neat," Alice replied nervously. "But, um, how do I put this. Um.....I never kissed a girl. I'm not even interested in girls! You know....like that."
Lorelai giggled, Alice feeling her face flush as her pulse raced. What was going on with her? She felt a certain awkwardness gazing at the teenage beauty before her. Lorelai had slimmed considerably, the 17 year old adjusting her loose dress. "Let me guess," Lorelai smirked. "You're feeling a bit shy, a bit nervous?"
"Yeah," Alice whispered. "How did you know?"
"Because when the dice roll you back far enough you begin to feel and act younger," Lorelai stated. "You start thinking younger, acting younger, emotionally you are younger." Alice paused, turning over Lorelai's information in her head. "Wait, are you telling me that when I rolled myself back to 16 I actually became myself at 16?!"
"Pretty much," Lorelai shrugged. "Tell me, how do you feel right now? You nervous? You feel shy or awkward?"
"Yeah," Alice shrugged. Looking at Lorelai she could feel her heart skip a beat. Why was this girl so cute, she was so confident, Alice wished she could feel that cool. Maybe when she got older....
"Whoa!"
Lorelai giggled, noting the look of astonishment cross Alice's face. "It just hit you didn't it," she asked. "All the sudden you felt like a teenage girl experiencing something different for the first time."
"Pretty much," Alice blushed. "It was weird, all the sudden I felt like I did when I was first dating."
"At Sixteen am I right?"
Alice nodded, she had started dating at 16. Gazing at the confident Lorelai she now frowned as she spoke what was on her mind. "How come you're so confident and self assured," she said. "In fact how are you not freaking out about kissing anyone! Let alone a girl."
"I figured out my bisexuality when I entered my teens," Lorelai shrugged. "Had my first kiss when I was 12 and my first date when I was 15. Plus, I'm a bit older so I have a bit more experience."
"Well it sucks," Alice huffed in typical teenage fashion. Lorelai laughed, her smile lighting up her face, once more causing Alice's pulse to quicken. "Maybe but I bet you're not thinking about rolling those dice are you?"
"No," Alice said softly. "Definitely not." Lorelai giggled taking, Alice's hands in her own as she now gazed directly into her eyes. "See its all about distractions," she smiled. "And looking forward instead of looking back, which reminds me, anything you're looking forward too?"
Alice gulped, her cheeks blushing as she gazed into the teenage Lorelai's eyes. She had never been into girls, had never even considered it. Now though, she had an opportunity to explore this if she wanted. The only question was would she.
