"Wow I've heard about those suits, but I didn't realize they were this impressive," her dad blurted out.
"Dad please I need..." Jess insisted.
"Her vocabulary is way bigger than I remember though," her mom joked, "Jess at this age you should only be using a couple simple words. Definitely not forming whole sentences."
Before Jess could try to interject again, a disorienting ringing sound played in her ears. Once it cleared, Jess was eager to get the stupid thing off her once and for all.
"Mom I just need help taking this off," was what Jess planned on saying as she clapped her hands together to keep their attention but instead all she managed was, "Mama jah nee hah da dis ah."
While Jess stood there mortified, both her parents laughed and her dad responded, "While you're taking notes munchkin, you also look way to coordinated. As a baby you shouldn't have that much control over your limbs."
Another disorienting beep drowned out her hearing and once it subsided, Jess stepped forward hoping to show her parents the button, but found her legs suddenly uncooperative and immediately belly flopped onto the carpeted floor.
Crap. Didn't the message about not taking the suit off say something about listening and behaving? Part of the custom programming must force her to behave based on what her parents say. Only they don't know that and accidentally erased her ability to tell them.
