Ben was trying to be helpful in his own way. Exploring the open profile, all the existing tabs and features were mind boggling but it was clear that his older brother's details were before him, granting an interesting view into a different world.
Ben stumbled onto a tab declaring who Jeff found physically attractive... Much to Ben's shock the first person listed was Nathan Blakely, their 30 year old next door neighbor! The list continued showing a multitude of male and female names and when he scrolled down, ending on actors and actresses. But at the top... their next door neighbor.
Ben didn't realize the list was sorted by proximity, nor did he realize that it was showing overall attractiveness. Emotional, social, conventional, physical, romantic, not just sexual attraction. Jeff did think the neighbor was conventionally handsome and charismatic... so he wanted to be like Nate when he grew up, nothing more.
Ben selected Nate and his profile popped up, being the open minded boy he was, saw no problem with two guys being together, and played matchmaker between Nate and Jeff, unintentionally maxing out all of their feelings for one another by setting their relationship to soulmates.
Ben selected save and scurried to his room sure he did the right thing. Neither Jeff nor Nate were gay.
"And take the garbage out tonight... Let me rephrase that, take it out now."
"Okay mom, we'll be fine, its just one night."
"I'll be back from the conference tomorrow night."
"I know. Have fun mom, love you."
Jeff rolled his eyes as he ended the call, he gathered the garbage and opened the garage door filling the bin. As he wheeled it to the curb his neighbor pulled in returning from work. He hesitated a second to be polite and greet his neighbor as he exited the car. "Hey Mr. Bla..." As the man exited his vehicle, Jeff had never seen such a beautiful, masculine sight. Time stopped.
Nate heard a greeting cut off by a sudden strange noise, as he turned he saw the neighbor's kid collapsing onto the garbage bin. Seeing something was wrong, without hesitating, he rushed over hoping the kid stays upright long enough that he could keep the kid from hitting his head on the concrete driveway.
Nate rushed over, barely able to grab Jeff's chest as he slid off the bin pulling it down on top of himself as he collapsed, "Hey there! Are you alright? What happ..." Nate, now within range of the Chronivac, saw Jeff as perfection incarnate.
The pair shared surprise, gazing into one another's eyes they could instantly see their feelings were reciprocated.
Nate had more experience both resisting and giving into the urges of his body, "I'm not a pedophile."
"I know." Jeff leaned in for a kiss.
Nate was drawn close by the proximity of Jeff's lips, "and I'm not gay."
"Me either," Jeff whispered breathily getting dangerously close.
"Then why do I..."
Jeff pulled Nate into a sloppy, passion filled kiss which immediately escalated. Before either knew what was happening the pair was hungrily caressing one another and if they didn't get inside they'd be naked on the streets amidst the toppled garbage. A few seconds later they were running into Nate's garage to get into the house, discarding clothes along the way.
