Pyrona was very happy to have found a beautiful egg. Along with a beautiful dragon to boot. But... But she might have indeed been wrong. This Pyrite girl that she had decided to name and adopt could have been old enough to being adult. A few weeks of difference from juvenile to adult. It had to happen one day and it was hard to guess when the limit was so near, right? And she was so pretty! In fact, too pretty. If she was an adult, her mate Ignis would certainly want her, or give her to a friend or acquaintance of his and she was too innocent to face these situations! Indeed, without a proper education... And she looked confused too, poor thing... Pyrona thought she wouldn't mind having a young daughter so beautiful, to mould and raise as she saw fit. And her tastes were impeccable, naturally! But to make it true, then she'd have to tamper a bit with her new daughter. The second one was an egg so the question of raising her properly was not an issue at all. So when they both took a break to drink a little a river, refresh and rest their wings, Pyrona cast her spell, quickly and swiftly so that Pyrite could have no chance to act. Karltin was wondering how to get out, even if he had to leave that egg behind, that wretched egg by which all of his misfortune had come upon him. So when the magic hit him, he could do nothing. He saw himself shrink, unable to move, while Pyrona gently soothed him, telling him it was for the best and that she'd never guess she'd been adopted, ever. Karltin's last thoughts were that it was ironic that he's be subjected to the same spell he had cast upon Jasper. Of course, at least Pyrona was doing it out of love and not merely to gather gold like he had done. But this self-criticism naturally did not cross his mind.
