Travis and Chenoa sped through the hall before they stopped as in front of them was their principal, Principal Mullins, who was now an owl.
"I hope you two have a good reason for running in my halls." Principal Mullins said to the two of them as her feathers ruffled a little.
"We're sorry, ma'am, it's just that my friend and I are a little worried for a friend of ours and we needed to get quickly to..." Travis tried to surmise, but could see that the principal was having none of it.
"Miss Principal, we're very sorry for running in the school. You see my friend and I are still new here, and we're just getting adjusted. Also, I must say, you are quite slimmer than most owls I have come by." Chenoa explained while complimenting the principal.
"Oh! Why thank you, I try not to eat as many mice in a month. It helps when the rest of my parliament get together and I can rub it in the others faces. You have quite the polite attitude, where are you from?" Principal Mullins asked.
"The....forest, I was home schooled." Chenoa said shyly.
"Oh my, I know it must feel odd to be away from home, but you'll get used to it. Now, you two run along now and get to your friend. But don't actually run." Principal Mullins said as she looked at her owl figure again and smiled.
"How did you do that?" Travis asked. "What? you mean talk to her?" Chenoa asked confused. "No, I mean I thought she was going to like peck at us or something." Travis said rubbing the back of her head.
"Peck at us? Like an animal?" Chenoa asked raising her eyebrow at Travis. "No, well, I mean, yes...but you know with all of this....don't you think we should be a little worried." Travis said.
"Ugh, typical. You know Travis, maybe you know about life and death more than I do. But you clearly don't know a thing about animals. Yes, there are animals that are predators and others that are viewed as prey like me, but you know, I'm a person and I don't think you or Ms. McKinnon should look at animals like that. You know why? Because animals are people too!" Chenoa said as she stomped her foot or hoof hard down on the ground.
"Okay, I'm sorry about that. I....guess we just thought you know, animals in the wild and all that. But I guess everyone we've seen have been acting both like humans and animals." Travis apologized.
"Thank you, now let's find Stephanie." Chenoa said as she and Travis looked for Stephanie.

Travis and Chenoa didn't know it, but Chenoa's hard stomp to the ground had caused a powerful ripple effect that went to Ms. McKinnon's room and broke her spell, it caused her to morph into a Kangaroo anthro woman in a wheel chair and the rest of her class had awakened and were also transformed into animal hybrids. There was a koala boy or two, along with a fox girl, a cat girl, a badger boy and more.
"What...? What was I doing? Oh well, anyway onto our lesson plan class." Ms McKinnon said not noticing anything wrong as she now began to teach her class.

Over in Ms. Wong's class, as she was teaching her rune bracelet broke and fell off her wrist. She thought she should be worried for a second, but she shrugged it off as she saw nothing wrong with her red panda body.

Travis and Chenoa were about to walk past the girl's bathroom when a beautiful sheep girl stepped out of the bathroom.
"Oh, Travis! I didn't think I'd see you so soon. I was just touching up my wool. What do you think? Is it beaaaaaautiful?" The sheep girl asked.
"S-S-S-Stephanie? You're okay, and you're....a sheep?" Travis said giving his girlfriend a hug before Stephanie pushed him back a little ways.
"Uh, yes. Obviously I'm a sheep. I've been a sheep all my life." Stephanie said.
"No, I mean, you just don't....look like you." Travis said as Stephanie slapped him on the face. "I am a Ewe." Stephanie said angrily.
"No, I mean you don't look right." Travis said trying to save himself. This time Chenoa slapped Travis for his comment.
"Travis, that is very impolite to say, even to sheep." Chenoa said. "Look, I'm sorry, but Stephanie you're not really a sheep, you're human. A person, people not..." Travis said before Stephanie cut him off. "DON'T you dare say the word that begins with 'she' and ends with 'ople'." Stephanie said as she turned around with her arms crossed.
Just then a fox girl, and a ferret girl came out of the bathroom.
"Hey, what's all the noise? Is this ram giving you a hard time?" The ferret girl asked Stephanie.
"No, he's not. He's my boyfriend, and he's talking nonsense." Stephanie said.
"Oh, he's your boyfriend? He's very...foxy." The fox girl said swaying her tail back and forth.
Just then, they all heard an announcement on the intercom from the principal.
'Attention students and teachers, it's time for the first morning assembly. Will everyone who's scheduled for the first assembly please come, and those in the second assembly please wait for the announcement to arrive at the second assembly.' Principal Mullins said over the intercom.
"Come on, ram boy. You can sit next to me and apologize there." Stephanie said grabbing Travis by the arm.
Chenoa still had Travis words and Mary Elise's warning in her head: "Act like the animals they've become."
'You're wrong about this Ms. McKinnon, they aren't going to be anything like regular animals. We're not regular animals Ms. McKinnon, we're people and I for one and proud to be a deer girl.' Chenoa thought to herself as she determinedly stomped her foot.
She then began to follow Travis and Stephanie as her animal hybrid peers came out of their classrooms. Chenoa even saw a few deer girls who complimented her on her hooves. In that moment, Chenoa felt happy and accepted and felt for the first time that day like she belonged.

"CHENOA!" Goldie shouted as she sat up from being cozy with her husband, Bear Jr.
"What? Goldie, what is it?" Bear Jr. asked worried. "I need to get to the school that Chenoa is going to. She may be altering her classmates without even realizing it." Goldie said as she dressed into something a little more modern rustic.
"You mean, she's tapping into her Navajo magic?" Bear asked.
"Yes. I'll go to her at the school and get this settled. She'll also need a little training from her Auntie Goldie." Goldie said as she got ready and went out the door before coming back in and giving Bear a kiss on the lips.
"Make a good cup of hot chocolate for me for when I come back and make sure it's...." Goldie began. "Not too hot, not too cold. Just the way you like it. Love you." Bear finished. "Love you, Baby." Goldie said as she went out the door of their cabin this time and headed for Chenoa's school.
