You really needed the job in spite of what you just witnessed in the elevator, so you didn't hesitate while Mrs. Yamada took out a spare pen for you to use, and the contract that would claim you as an employee. You weren't always a fan of contracts, because they lead to scandalizing moments, but you still needed a job.
So without anymore worrying, you used the pen that was given to you to sign the contract that Mrs. Yamada pulled out, and once your name was on the line, the pen disappeared while she rolled it back up.
