The witch was happy with herself. Deciding to raise Damon was a good idea. Of course, now he was precisely that, a baby, but in a few springs, she'd have someone to speak to that could answer. Moreover, after a few more springs, he could help her out. And being a witch helped! She could change his diapers with a simple spell and with another get a bottle into his mouth or get a spoon to fly from the bowl to his mouth. Even though she decided to keep the name 'Damon', because it looked like 'Demon' and it looked like a good omen, she thought it practical to erase his memories. No pesky thoughts or memories to interfere with her education now. It would make things a lot easier. And a few other spells would help along the way if he proved too much of a brat.
As for the other two... Well, taking them to that orphanage was the best decision she had taken. The director of the orphanage had not known she was a witch, of course. She had just explained in a concerned tone that someone had abandoned three babies at her door and that if one she could take in, she hoped the other two might find good homes. They didn't look like brothers and the director had thanked the witch profusely. Some people were so irresponsible! What the director did jot know was that the witch had not only kept Chris and Damon's memories intact, but also had warned her magical friends and acquaintances that two ruffians whom had erupted in her house and had been most rude were up for adoption, memories included. Some of them might be interested in playthings or babies of their own. Moreover, these two boys ere still stuck as helpless babies with all the humiliation it entailed, even if they got lucky and were adopted by normal humans.
She smiled, hoping to get interesting news from these two idiots at some point.
