It was then Jack suddenly felt a wet feeling on his right foot.
He stepped away from the fountain, and felt his Wellington boot sloshing.
He soon realised why - his Wellington boot had been standing too close to the runoff from one of the fountain bowls, and the water had trickled into his boot.
"Ugh," he groaned, "my sock and my foot's wet through!"
He pulled his Wellington boot off his right foot, and emptied the water from it onto his lawn. He looked at the damp grey sock on his right foot, and pulled it off his foot.
He wrung his sock dry, but before he could put it back on his foot, something amazing happened to his sock.
What happened to Jack's sock?
Did it have anything to do with the Fountain of Size?
