"It would be nice to continue using the fountain to shrink my clothes." Jack thought.
"BUT," HE said to himself, looking at his bare feet, his bare toes wriggling and flexing like worms, "maybe i should make MY SOCKS grow back to normal size now. My feet are starting to get cold."
SO Jack decided to try growing his SOCKS back to normal.
'If the small bowl made them shrink.' Jack mused, 'maybe it could make them bigger.'
SO, he picked up his tiny socks, dunked them into the big bowl, and wrung them both dry, and then, almost as quickly as they'd shrunk, they grew.
They grew, and grew, and grew, and grew, till they were back to their normal size.
Jack, satisfied, put his socks and boots back on, then got up and went back into his house.
That evening, as he sat watching tv, he thought about the fountain.
'if it shrinks footwear,' he thought, 'could it shrink my other clothing?'
'OR', he thought, 'could i use it to shrink myself?'
HE DECIDED THAT NEXT DAY, HE COULD TRY IT AGAIN.
