The music aisle.
You saw speakers all over the place, and some stereo systems too, some TVs to play music videos, heck, even piles of CD cases forming tall pillars. What's weird, however, is that everything was blank.
Not just the blank CD cases, but the speakers too, they were on, and at a decent volume, but nothing else other than white noise came out of them. The TV is permanently static, and the whole thing gave you chills.
Slowly looking at the shelves, you gaze upon the CD cases, every one of them a blank, white jewel case with nothing but the blank discs in them. They seemed to be priced from $1.00-$5.000! Each one blank, with nothing on the art! Even the labels! Nothing! Just a blank surface and pricing!
No names, no nothing, the price itself looks like the numbers bled out, turning everything above them into a watery mess of color.
No wonder this place was empty, did it flood or something? Everything looked washed out, malfunctioning.
Turning your head away from one particular blurry sign of CD prices, your sight glances over at what seemed to be a strange machine, and a... disk right next to it?
You inspect the machine: An... odd device. It looked like any normal CD player, although it seemed to lack any speakers, and also seemed to be built out of various parts, nothing matching its model. Like someone threw them together out of random scraps and spare parts. In a way, you found its look to be almost alluring.
Next to it, was the CD case you noticed, just a blank disc with a nearly washed out label saying "COVER".
Well, curiosity overcoming fear of an unsafe store that shouldn't even be opened, and curiosity about the odd machine's function... you approach the items with curiosity, carefully placing the disc inside the machine and pressing the Play button.
You failed to notice, however, a small, well hidden print on the machine... "Reality reader".
When the strange machine finally works up, you did take a step back out of precaution, but nothing seemed to have happened for a couple seconds.
Just more white noise, although... as you focused more intently on it... what looked like to be music bled into it?
You could swear it was some sort of instrumental... And after a few seconds you can finally distinguish a musical genre...
