Pyrona was a bit at a loss. She really wanted to adopt these two little dragons. Especially the juvenile female. Her scales were golden and she looked positively adorable. Yes, she'd be a complete heart-breaker later and she'd grow to be a most gorgeous female one day. She had such potential! And she had temper, which always served females. Pyrona wanted to mother this cutie more by the minute! But the little dragon was not really fine with it, protecting fiercely the egg containing her little sibling. Pyrona was certain that mentioning a transformation with the characteristics of a noble breed of dragon would not really change her mind. But she could not let this beautiful girl live in a foul human hovel like this. It was indecent. And plain unhygienic. And she wanted so much to just take this little darling home. To mother her and take care of her and love her very much! Could she not see that? Pyrona was an exemplary mother and she adored pampering as well. Everyone knew that! Well, maybe there was a way to get what she wanted and for this poor little lost cutie to find a decent home. Obviously she'd lived for much too long in this horrible place. She was without parents and had to look after her sibling. She did it bravely but it had messed up her mind, the poor thing. Yes, her solution was best.
As for Karltin, he wanted this big looming dragoness gone. Couldn’t she see he found her insistent and annoying? He wanted to be left alone! To think that... And then Pyrona's spell hit him and he was not thinking at all. In fact, his mind felt blank. He blinked, feeling extremely confused. Where was he? Who was he? Why was there an egg in his... er... coils?... Sort of?...He looked about. The place did look vaguely familiar, if smelly and not great-looking. His dragon instincts told him it was a dwelling fit for a human, not a dragon. He looked at himself. Oh. He had golden scales and a... a slit? A slit on his crotch?!?! He was... female??? It appeared so but why did it feel so wrong??? He was a she. It must be. A... she? He, er, she looked at the egg. Was it his? No, hers. Was it hers? Was he, er, she a father, er, mother? Oh, and what nice golden scales she had.
"Treasure! Are you all right?"
She looked at the big red imposing dragon. Her eyes reflected nothing but love and worry, which filled her with soothing goodness.
"I... think..."
"By the sun, Treasure! You knocked your head and fell here. And with your little sister too! Good thing I am here for you, my precious daughter!" Pyrona said with a big lick to the former human.
"I am... Treasure?... And you are my mother?..." she said tentatively.
"Why, yes, silly! Your head must have been hit hard for you to forget that! Well, no matter. You'll get some rest at home."
With that, Pyrona took the egg with much precautions in her claws and Treasure followed her. What the red dragon said seemed logical. Truthful. Even if it still felt strange, because she could not remember a single thing... But what else was there to do? She flew close to her mother, hoping things would eventually make more sense. Of course, Pyrona was excited to the extreme. Her spell had worked splendidly! She'd give Treasure her noble breed characteristics, as well as to the female inside the egg (another spell had informed her it was female) and she'd think Pyrona was really her mother. How perfect! She had even selected the name for her. In the end, that spell to erase memories had been a true blessing in disguise!
