Greg decided that this was the perfect opportunity for Dani to start attending preschool. She was already working part-time thanks to everything that had happened to her, so she could easily be enrolled in morning classes, picked up, and then dropped off for her shift at work. This would also have the effect of making Dani notice just how much easier it was to be in preschool than working, particularly at her age.
Dani protested at first, until Greg pointed out that working from home was still working. With Dani at home part of the day and needing his attention and care, his work quality had suffered. This was a lie, but swayed Dani into agreeing to preschool.
On Dani’s first day of preschool, she was so nervous that she wet and messed herself on the way there. Greg just changed her dirty diaper in the car, despite the parents walking by with their own children, having a full view of the change. He wanted Dani to get more used to public changes. Otherwise, preschool would be very difficult for her.
Greg dropped Dani off, hugging and kissing her before he left. He had a busy day of work, so he had made arrangements for his mother, Carla, to take Dani from preschool to work. He wouldn’t find out until he picked her up from work how it went.
