The video aisle.
Inside the Video aisle, you note it seems to go on for miles, no sign of an end despite the size of the store, the distance turning foggy, escaping your field of vision. Rather than investigate the infinite aisle, you turn your head to the shelves, noticing something intriguing. Everything was completely featureless.
Titles long gone or never existed blurred in and out, colors shifting like the store's backdrop did. Price tags and posters were nothing but blank paper. Music whirred and echoed in a eerie doo-wop, like everything here was static electricity.
Finally, your attention is caught by a blank DVD case, eyeing it up and down. The title is blank, the art is blank, even the disc itself seemed blank. Your fingers wrapped around it's plastic, lifting it up and noticing it had no price tag. Hm...
You notice what seems to be a retro, 90's-2000's TV placed on a wall nearby, old and dinged-up, along with a DVD player placed neatly underneath it.
You take the case and the TV remote, popping the blank case open and placing the disc inside the DVD player. You turn your attention to the retro TV, beneath the static, colors suddenly began melting in, and after a few seconds, began shifting in a odd, hypnotic blur of images. This is certainly a behavior you haven't seen from any functional TV. What was going on?! Was it broken?
The images shift again and again, changing colors, shapes, textures, until they finally shift to a movie you've never seen before, but felt oddly familiar, as if you'd watched it a long time ago and forgot all about it til now...
Once the blurriness clears up, you can finally tell, decidedly, that this movie is...
