"I was told that I am supposed to be your father, little dragon," mumbled Gareth, now Turquoise.
His voice smacked of confusion and uncertainty.
"My... My father?" said Pearl, flabbergasted.
"Yes. That you are old enough to be a sexual partner but just so. And that you're too young for me. And too little, at any rate. But I can see that with my own two eyes. Besides, the idea of mating with one of your kind... Well, no offence but I find it completely repulsive. Not that I'm saying this against you, you realize. It's just that I used to be a human guy. I got transformed when my new boss didn't like me. Long story short. I find you as attractive as a human male would be to you, if you want to compare."
"Having sex with a man never appealed to me," said Pearl in all honesty.
It was the truth. Pearl, as Jasper, had never felt inclined to laying with other men. Why, when he had a harem at his disposal and any girl he could want? How things had changed!
"There you go," rumbled Turquoise, rolling on himself so as to settle comfortably and start a nap. "So I can be your father figure if you want. It's not like I had the time and opportunity to start a family as a human. Or the time. And it gets boring in this cage. At least I'll have someone to talk to, even it it's a sort-of daughter. And a dragon to boot."
Turquoise yawned widely and soon he was sleeping and snoring. Pearl got close to him and lied down against his flank and wing. Should she tell him she was really Prince Jasper? How would he react? Badly? It did feel good to have someone to talk to indeed. She didn't want to blow the opportunity away. Should she act like a real dragon and hide her identity? She started sleeping as well, leaving those questions unanswered and left for later.
