In a flash of light, Darren and his friends now found themselves on a forest. Still disoriented, the group tried to gain their bearings. "Ugh where are we," Robbie asked.
"Steph," Darren said quickly, his eyes darting in every direction. "What year is it?" Steph now began to scan, Darren noting the wolf Soul Drives eyes flicker as she seemed to search for information. "Its 2023," she said in shock. "Late September."
"Are the Normal here?"
"I'm not sure," Steph said cautiously. "When Hannah and I accessed the time machines memory core, it stated that they had made a journey here. I'm just not sure how long they've been here." Hannah huffed, the gynoid monkey Soul Drive dusting herself off as she stood. "Perfect so we don't know where they are or how long they've been here. We may already be too late!"
"We could try looking for help," Crystal stated. "I mean wouldn't Miss Yuriko be around?"
"Yeah and how much help would she be," Hannah exclaimed. "We're 80 years in the past! She'd barely be out of diapers!"
"Misaki what about your grandma and uncle," Pam asked. "Akira and Aiko are kitsune. Wouldn't they be around?"
"Yeah but I have no idea how to find them," Misaki shrugged. "And even if I did I doubt they would believe me. I'm not even sure if my uncle is born yet."
"What about Fukushu or Abolith," Stella asked. "They would both be around. They would definitely help, especially if they saw the kits." As Darren was about to answer, he stumbled, after casting the spell sending them all into the past and fighting the Boss he was exhauste8d. As his friends rushed to his side, none of them realized what had occurred with this trip to the past.
Reality now altered with the presence of Darren and his friends. In Darren's time, he had cast a spell bringing both Sachiko and Raiden into existence. Now, with their arrival in the past, the spell could be completed. Across two timelines now things began to change. For Akira and Ayami, those changes were more noticeable. Ayami, the one time corruption demon began to change. The succubus changing into an angel of maternity, her batlike wings becoming angelic as her skin went from crimson to a more blueish hue.
This change also resulted in the birth of Sachiko. The infant white kit now sleeping at home as her father, Akira, worked. Now Akiras position as head of security had two purposes, the protection of the next generation of magical children and to take care of his infant daughter. In both timelines evryone was aware of the miraculous birth of Akiras daughter. Akiras student Natalia MacGregor would even act as an occasional babysitter for the infant kitsune. The changes though were not limited to Akira and Ayami as both Rexie, Mia, Fukushu, and Abolith had been affected as well.
Rexie and Mia's changes were subtle. The imp familiar becoming an angelic one. The mischievous cherub now taking the appearance of a white tabby cat with blue eyes instead of a black cat with red eyes. Thus in turn made Mia a white wotch instead of simply a witch and although Ayami and Rexie had changed; their personalities remained the same.
Fukushu and Abolith, while now parents, kept the birth of their son Raiden a secret. While overjoyed to at having a son, the pair still plotted the downfall of the wizards. After their latest scheme involving a rogue demon hunter, the pair had withdrawn as they formulated a new plan to assassinate the wizards.
"Darren," Gail called, quickly rushing to the teens side. "Neela is he okay?" Neela the teenage prodigy and doctor now studied Darren carefully. "You're exhausted," she said. "You definitely need to take it easy."
"I'll rest when we stop the Normal," Darren groaned, struggling to stand as he once more fell over. "You can barely stand right now," Ewart exclaimed. "You need to rest!" Darren sighed, grumbling as he now sat on the ground. "Fine," he sighed. "And while I'd like to find Abolith and Fukushu they weren't very fond of people or wizards at this time."
"Well what about finding the wizards then," Steph asked. "I mean, if they're here shouldn't they know about what's going to happen?"
"Shes got a point," Neela shrugged. "But who's going to look for them. You're in no condition to go Darren."
"We could go."
Darren and the others now paused, looking over at both Sachiko and Raiden. The two kits had been quiet since their arrival, after everything they had endured, it surprised them that they remained so upbeat. "Are you sure," Darren asked.
"We are," Raiden said, the anthro foxes youthful face now sporting a serious expression. "We want to help save the future."
"We can do this," Sachiko added, the white kits tail swishing behind her. "We'll find the wizards and then come back here."
"Okay," Darren sighed. "Just be careful. I don't want you two getting hurt." Sachiko and Raiden nodded, the white kit grabbing her friends hand as the two anthros now sped off. As they did, Darren leaned back, sighing heavily. Hopefully they weren't too late to save their future.
