"To be honest, I have no idea," replied the blue dragon with a clear tone of boredom.
"What?"
Pearl felt very much confused. This big dragon was to be his new roommate, or rather cagemate, and he had no idea why! She did not either, but this dragon used to be human, like her! He must have picked up something, anything. He had been head of the Prince Guard, for crying out loud!
"They didn't tell you why I am here? Or what we are to do while we share this space?" she exclaimed.
"No. Why? I thought you'd know," said neutrally Turquoise. "Or I did not think you'd care. Why? You want to have intercourse, maybe? I've never fantasized on big overgrown lizards, pink for that matter, but... I mean, it's not like I'm going to meet the pretty ladies I was wooing back when I was bipedal. You're of mating age at any rate, right? And pink's girly and all..."
Pearl spluttered. Had Gareth always been so moronic? No wonder his family had been ousted by a jerk like Antyny if he was in charge of security? Here he was, thinking of sex when he was a transformed human being.
"No thank you," snapped Pearl. "Your belly's too big for MY taste."
And it was true. Gareth was a really paunchy dragon. His muscles from when he was human had vanished. Looked like Antyny had had fun here too.
"You have a gut, Gareth," she mumbled, turning away.
"Sorry, princess," answered Gareth with scorn. "Ask for mommy and daddy to blow flames and free you. It is not like a girly girl like you can do other things except have tea parties. You're a pink lizard. You really think you can attract me? Get real."
"Says he who asked for sex not even a minute ago," scoffed Pearl. "And you owe me respect. I'm Prince Jasper."
He thought Gareth woulds be impressed. Instead, he laughed so loud he had tears in his eyes. He rolled around, his fat wobbling under his scales. For him, Prince Jasper being turned into a pink female dragon was nothing short of hilarious and he wasted no time mocking Jasper's new reproductive organs. And that moron was too big to hope beating him! Pearl left in a huff in another corner of the cage. This cohabitation was going to be long and quite insufferable. He longed already for the castle where he used to live and even his former smaller enclosure where he was alone sounded appealing again.
