Prunella is starving. In an attempt to save money to pay off rent for the month, she has to cut food out of her budget. She can live off of the food from the fast food place she works at, but soon or later her boss will catch wind of her snacking and will have to fire her. But Prunella is very fortunate that she is a manager of her workplace, especially at such a young age of 26. She left at around 3 in the afternoon after a very long morning shift at 5. The only thing she ate in those ten hours was a breakfast sandwich and some fries, Prunella walked back to her little condo and tried to think about anything else except her empty belly.
While walking, Prunella happens to find a "new" shop that opened earlier last week. Well, "new" isn't what she would've used to describe about this place. In the window, Prunella can see a wide assortment of trinkets and goods on display. From rings that can easily be over $300 to ancient tomes that were frailing in places, to even a 1980s boombox that Prunella can see the word "Booty" on it.
Even seeing the word booty just gives Prunella a sense of body dysmorphia. While many of her friends and family have said that she is fit and beautiful as she is, the deep part of Prunella has always told her that she is just skin and bones. She looked at herself in the window, inspecting the flaws that she had under her work outfit.
Her blonde hair rested on her shoulders, perfectly framing her simple face that Prunella thought didn't have enough fat in her cheeks. She then looks down at her torso and arms, noticing how little her B-cup's breast stands out from her body. Prunella then pinched her toned tummy through her worktop, still thinking that it was unhealthy to be this thin. Turning around to see her back half, Prunella took note that her seemingly perky bottom was too small for her.
Before she moved forward toward her home, a presence appeared to be calling out from inside the store. Thinking that it was the store owner, Prunella went inside the magic shop. Seeing even more junk and jeweled items, Prunella closed the door behind her and made her way down the numerous aisles. So far the only other soul (not counting the magical one) she saw was a handsome young man behind the counter, reading a magazine that had "Wand" in the title. Still, thinking that the shopkeeper was out of her league, Prunella didn't approach the bored man and continued her personal quest to find whatever was summoning her.
Near the back of the store, right by the massive machine that Prunella doesn't care about nor have the funds to find out, she found what was calling her. To put it simply, it was a golden, full-figured woman with various fruits around her. She is sitting down on her pillow which is barely big enough for her own cushion. The statuette is dressed like a belly dancer that is barely holding onto her form. She even has a smile that is full of joy (and maybe some food too as the artist wanted it years ago). Looking around the golden woman doesn't tell Prunella how much she is, and the self doesn't say anything else either. So she goes back to the front where the worker is to find out how much the idol is, while secretly hoping that it is cheap enough for her.
When Prunella approached the register, the chiseled worker put away his reading material and got up to help the customer. "Uh hello. Hi there," Prunella nervously asked once she got close to the counter. She read that on his nametag was Thomas and he looked surprised at the item in her hand. "I was wondering how much is this thing," Prunella held up the hefty item and placed it on the counter in front of Thomas. "That is the ancient idol for over 3,000 years ago. Said to be made in the image of a goddess whose followers went extinct." Thomas looked down at the item, gave it a quick inspection, and said, "I can sell it for $10. Are you interested?"
Prunella made it to her home, $10 lighter and 15 pounds heavier due to the idol. She places it on the coffee table in front of her while sitting on the couch. Still thinking that a thousands of years old antique that is based on a goddess, Prunella decided to pray to it. She knelt to the full-figured woman with her eyes closed and her hands held tightly together, and then she prayed.
"I pray that I will never be hungry again."
After waiting for a moment, nothing happens. Prunella opened her eyes and saw that nothing changed. The idol didn't move and there wasn't any food in front of her like a buffet. Thinking that she was ripped off, Prunella cursed the idol and Thomas for fooling and went to her kitchenette to see if there was something to eat. It was a practically spotless kitchenette since Prunella only shopped for food once every other week. She then opened the fridge to find something edible, not knowing that the cursed idol had inflicted her food. Before the week is out, Prunella will become the saying, "You are what you eat."
